Good Morning CGs!

Well, I got to take a hot shower this morning! Not sure how long that will last, though. I cleaned out the hot water heater last night and did the furnace while I was at it. Only thing is the "self test" on the gas control valve shows that it is bad. Intermittent, of course. It has a circuit board and crap so it's more complicated that you think! Funny thing is my neighbor who has the same tank as me (replaced it a year before me) had the same exact problem and already replaced his, too. Wonder if it's a factory defect. He's a HVAC guy so he's calling the distributor today to see if it's under warranty. Still have to get it regardless.

Got the 500 mile oil change done on the vette last night. No problems with that. One thing irked me, though. I bought castrol gtx because I've always thought it was pretty good oil. For probably the first time ever I read the back of it and saw "BP" on the back. Guess I won't be buying anymore castrol. If you guys care any about what has happened the last few months, you won't buy any either.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good Morning!! Unfortunately BP has their hands into a lot of stuff manufactured these days, but I'm with ya on that Matt.

I'm back to work today finally. I never made it yesterday. I feel like a fish out of water, as I can't remember what I was working on last week!!! I guess it will jell in a little bit.

I hope you guys have good day!

Not much planed here, today. Got a lady coming over this afternoon to talk about some cabinets, but that's it. Water heaters just suck when they act like that...I'd heard that they build them to last about 8 years anymore...mine's 7 so I would guess that it's just a matter of time now.

Going to be hot again today. Everyone stay cool.

Howdy! Last lazy day before going back to work. I scrubbed the thick layer of bugs off of the Vette last night, vacuumed some grasshoppers out of the engine compartment and blasted some more from the front of the radiator. They looked like mini-aliens. Gonna see if I can fix my door panel today with that little "L-bracket" trick. Also working on putting together some pics from the trip.

Have a great day, everyone!

Drove back from Bradenton today and decided to take the scenic route across the Everglades on the Tamiami Trail. I came across a sign that I found interesting. It read

Alligators ..... Snakes

.......... Ice Cream ........

I love South Florida.

Water heaters.. we have one at the shop that was installed in 1989 acording to the paint pen marking on the side.. and in over 10 years I have not seen them service it for any reason..

Well got done with work a little early and got my drive shaft re-installed on the Superduty.. (the center bearing went out) replaced the 3 u-joints and bearing...

other then that still recovering from being up late last night from my class on Chryslers.. (worked all day, then had class till 10pm) so I didn't get to bed till about 12am....

Night!
