The weather has changed for the better. Nice cool high 60s in the AM, mid 80s mid day. Unfortunately I still feel like crap. It's just not much fun going for a nice long ride when your head is stuffy and your body aches. What a bunch of

Good Morning CGs!

Body is still a little sore from yesterday's beating, but I'll make it through ok. If I feel well enough I might get in a workout Probably a good day to take a recovery day, though. I'd like to actually get some chores done today, we'll see if that happens.

If anyone didn't read Rick's post yesterday he trailered a dodge dart that his boss sold all the way from here in Chicago to New York in one day....19 hours driving. He's supposed to come back today. Long trip! Have a safe trip, Rick.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks!

Yep, we transported a 1971 Dodge dart my boss did a complete frame off restoration on to NY. Was really a nice car, the new owner said it was even better then our Boss said it was. Plus he got an amazing deal on the car. It was exciting to be part of the transaction, the car has been about a 3 year project at the shop and everyone had worked on it from both of my boss's shops. So as much of a pain it was to have the liability of such an nice car, I am sure everyone is going to miss it being there..

Anyway were getting ready to leave the hotel in a little bit. had a crazy ride up here... first some really bad fog in Indiana, then lots of hills and curves in Pennsylvania, both slowed us down a bit. then right when we were abour 40 miles to the customers home, he almost hit a dear. There are not any lights on the road, and he was running right down the center lane, luckly noone was in the lane next to us or behind us.. hit the brakes, and got over onto the shoulder a bit.. just missed on the front drivers corner. Though I was going to nail his head on the corner of the trailer for sure.. but looked like we just missed him by an inch or two. then got into the town and the roads were nuts, high inclines, twists, and a round-about to deal with.. was praying I didn't have to unload the Dart on a hill. Luckly the new owner was pretty accomodating, he met us half way from the highway and we followed him, to a side street across from his house that we could loop back on with out backing up and was one of the few more flat areas to unload it. got it out of the trailer, he went to start it took a couple tries, but it fired up, wondering is the elevation is effecting the tune on the carb, because it ran fine by us. Then he parked it in his garage, wish I could have gotten a decent pic of his garage, he had a really nice white dodge corronet from a museum. 4 post lift very neat clean organized, very nice people to deal with. Now for the long journey home....

Good morning....I slept in this morning and have done nothing but watch a little TV I had recorded on DVR. I need to go out to the shop and do a little work. It'll be nice to just relax some today. Next weekend will be totally different.

Tommy, I do hope you start feeling better. Matt I hope your body recovers. Rick, be careful on your trip, and the old Dart sounds like quite the car.

I feel like somebody beat me with a stick after having to endure another ass whipping by Texas. The sad part is the game was ours if not for 3 dropped touchdown passes. You cannot do that in a big game and expect to win. That's it we give up, Texas is our Daddy!

My wife says she can hear a grinding noise when we are driving in the Vette. I can't hear it but that is not unusual.

Have a great Sunday!

Whoa, sweet pics, Don!

Marcus, how come your wife doesn't do what my wife does when she hears a weird noise in the car - turn up the radio! Sorry about your Huskers - looks like the Goofers will be getting a new coach, about time.

Nuttin' but yardwork and a little football-watching today. Had it not rained this evening, I might have taken the Vette over to put it away.
