My co-worker has a 1914, he was talking about what a pain it is to drive. Three pedals; high/low, reverse and a brake. The throttle and timing advance are a levers on the column.

I own two Model A's
Was on a tour down in NC this past weekend a guy had 2 model T's there. One a speedster could do 55 MPH all day it was modified
the stock one would do 40 MPH
In Bonneville a record run of over 200 MPH was set in a T aeroliner
amazing sometimes what the old technology can do

Actually it takes a little more skill to run the older cars and make them run well , which can be a pain . It's always a balance between spark and throttle. Later models got an optional gas pedal.
Thats what draws me to the older cars- the challenge
I love my Vette don't get me wrong but its fairly civilised in the jump in and drive down the road department

OH and any color you wanted on a T as long as it was black !

I like drivin' the older Macks with the aux. trans, you know, where you have to loop your left arm thru the steering wheel so you can have one hand on each shift lever.

When I was young I always preferred the Model T's. As I got older I started leaning more to the Model A's. The older I get the less I have to do to drive the better I like it. So I guess it would be resto-rods for me.
