biggrizzly Color Painting a block?

I asked my builder if he'd paint the block the same color as my intake.... He kind of stuttered and said "red". Like it was really gay or something. He said they only paint them black and I'd have to paint it red.

Do you think painting it red is gay? I thought it would look nice, complimenting the other colors under the hood.

Oh, geez... it's not gay... it's actually a very common hot-rod trick.

I don't like black for engine parts like that anyway; a brighter colour will help show where leaks are.

Paint it red.

My block was painted black and I like the look. I thought about classic chevy orange but thought it would look stupid in my car. It's your car, though, so do what you want.

I believe when I was at Pete's house I saw a few cans of Mauve colored paint in his garage. Im sure he wouldn't mind painting your Trans with that... .....WW

Right car it could look ok but you cant see much of it in a C4. Cleaning it would be a pain. Sometimes black is best it hides a lot.

Up to your personal tastes though the one you pulled out looked pretty clean.
