The previous owner should have just bought a GS. Lots of expense for a dressed up LT1. It's kind of cool, but I wouldn't pay a premium for it.

The red gutted vert is highly sought. You could easily fool alot of people as long as you don't open the hood. The real deal goes for big bucks. I'm just thinking of it from a posers perspective.

I know a guy that did that with his Dodge truck. Bought the cheap model and added emblems.

I was going to put Z06 emblems on the 92 but thought one or two here would catch it.

It's pretty nice, but the automatic kinda spoils the whole GS thing.

The stripe dimensions are way off. The stripe is rather narrow in front and flares toward the rear on a real GS. This one starts way too wide and ends too wide. Ugly.

When I drop an LS7 in my 92, I WILL put Z06 emblems on it.

Why go to all that hassle to enhance the paint and leave the grass dead?

Hummm, if you put a supercharged LS7 in the 92, would ZR1 emblems be more apropo?

Or if you put a supercharged LS7 in a 91 ZR1, what would you call it? a ZR1X ? ZR1+ ?

I'm not getting it. Are those original cars impossible to find? What engine did the originals come with? Although for 10 or 11K it would make a nice car for someone. He probably has a lot more in it.

They are not hard, just desired. A real GS is worth no less than $20k, even beat on.

The spec of a real GS:

* special paint
* LT4 engine
* 6spd manual
* Suspension (FX3?)
* loaded with all options...
* special VIN sequence

that last bit is what pushes buttons. The VIN sequence.

A low mileage vert sold at auction for $80k. Not bad.
