I wanted to take a moment and make a special thanks to Pete Kane (PeteK) for really helping me out with my transmission and for that matter everyone else he has ever given his time, energy and knowledge to. These days he is especially busy traveling all over the country for his real work and says he is not in the business of working on engines and transmission any more... but somehow he seems to fit them in here and there.

I also would have to thank his family for allowing me to steal away your husband and father for the selfish time I demanded of him to work on my transmission. Thank You too!

I came away with a confident feeling that the work was completed in a manner far superior than that I could have done anywhere else and didn't have to empty my bank account to do it.

So Pete! Thanks again for a job well done. I can't wait to get it back together! Its so pretty I hate to put it back in the car! LOL

That's awesome! I doubt he puts all that work into them for you not to abuse 'em though.

I can never say enough good about Pete K. He built a 383 for me about a year ago and I have to say he never complained once about all the stupid and frequent questions I asked him..He helped me every step of the way and explained the whole process to me, Im honored to call him a friend. So,lets heap on the accolades, Pete is one man that deserves them...WW

PS; Pete, See you at Carlisle in August...

That Pete guy is overrated. What a hack....

Obviously I'm kidding! Can't ask for a more knowledgeable, helpful, or friendly guy. Had Pete been closer, he would have built my trans and motor!!!

Thanks to Pete for all the support you provide the Guru!

I'll be there. We set up a couple tents near the infield and have a great place to take a rest if you guys need a place to get water stash some spoils and just chill out in-between shopping trips. I'm working on getting a new spot in the infield this year for us. I need at least 20 pre-registered cars to get it. I already have like 15 people that say they are going for sure and parking with us.

Don, I got a chance to meet you last year at Carlisle. Looking forward to seeing you this year and maybe getting a chance to hang out. You guys may be seeing someone else you all know this year, Mick Stevens (mseven) may be flying in from Detroit for a few days if he can get away.Looks like it could be a real fun time...WW

Wayne did you talk to me at the tent where CCA members were hanging out? That's terrible, but I met so many people there last year. I was a judge for the infield car show and was shaking hands all day.

I chatted with Mick recently. He will be doing the tune on my car as soon as I get the final flow data, compression specs etc. I think it will be a blast if we can do a little Guru gathering at Carlisle... maybe go out to eat in the evening after the show one of the nights. I'm looking forward to it.

We need to get Andy and the west coasters to drive out too!!

Don,
I was with (Pete K) and (Mike V) most of the time last year. I can't remember if it was during the photo shoot or the burn out contest that I met you, it was only for a minite because you were busy..Im probably just not very memorable..WW

That would be a party.
Since I grew up 20 minutes from Carslie, I've been there many times. I think I was at the first one when it all started.

Not sure if I'm going to make Carlisle this year or not. Coming home last year was rather expensive for me when my fuel pump crapped out 60 miles from home.

It was a great show though.

Thanks Don!
After a tough week, this made my day.
I just finished up Mike V's trans, and decided to tear down my back up trans (formerly primary trans).
Worked fine when I removed it, but found I split the case right at the rear core support.
1 or 2 more passes, and it would likely have blown chunks out of it.
It gave it's life, so I could race

Now the search begins for an 88-92 700r4 case or core.

I'm glad you made it home safely again! I hope by the time Carlisle rolls around your company will give you a little time off to play that weekend!!

Thanks again... so very much!

If I can find someone with a transmission core for you... its yours.
