Good Morning CGs!

Never made it up to those high temps yesterday but today already sucks. One of those humid days where when you get out of the shower you're sweating already while toweling off...ugh.

Work today and then off for a few. Gonna get some yardwork done and watch some fireworks.

Rugrat #1 is already up so I need to get her some breakfast.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Guru's! I see the gay thread is still with us. I have been avoiding it on purpose but may have to go back and see how bad it is......

I attended a double header baseball game that my son played in last night. It was soooo hot, but as the evening progressed it was a nice night to be outside. Lost one game by one and the other by 3. We don't have any pitching plus we can't hit or catch anything......which makes it tough when you play baseball......but the good news is we are getting better. My grandfather who was a Legion coach for years told me that no matter what level of ball it is, it is all about the pitching.

I am going over to look at and drive the C5 today.......more on that later.

My wife's mother is here to visit for the 4th so I have been handed a list and I better get to it. Enjoy the time off Guru's!

Greetings! I'm up fairly early for a Saturday, gonna get busy. Looks like a beautiful day out there - the hot, humid stuff blew out last night. There were some wicked storms with tennis ball-sized hail, but fortunately that veered north of us.

Good luck with the C5, Marcus! And your grandfather was right on the money - good pitching can make up for a multitude of sins.

Have a good Saturday, everyone!

Morning guys....I'm revived this morning after a good night's sleep. Yea me too Marcus, that thread is like a car wreck, just can't help looking. Speaking of car wrecks, there was a doosey on the turnpike yesterday just east of Lawrence. About 8 cars, piled up traffic in both directions (it was in the westbound lanes), but westbound, the traffic was at a dead stop and backed up about 8 miles when we went through. Eastbound was slowed dramatically, but at least we kept moving.

It's a beautiful morning here, kind of muggy, but no worse than normal. And it's supposed to be warm today. Have a few things to do for the daughter here, but for the most part, it a relaxing weekend.

Good Mornin'

Oh yes... the gaie thread! What idiot started that mess?

Last night I started cleaning up the little sailboat sitting on the side of the house. I have no idea when and if I'll get the time to splash her but its been sitting here gathering leaves and dirt, so I needed to get started spring cleaning on it. I was bored and didn't feel like working on the hundreds of other projects that needed done first, but the boat seemed like a better diversion. I found some huge hornets or wasps had made a nest up inside the cockpit. Those bastards look mean as sin! A little bit of RAID and they were singing the blues. I think I can get this boat in the water for under $200... Why does everything that seems fun got to cost?

LOL! My Dad loved to sail and we had a 22 foot daysailer with a swing keal. We had a big colorful spinnaker for running downwind and he loved to get her healing over with spray coming up over the side......and that was in Kansas. Lots of wind......right TB?

Looks like a fun project, Don!

I had to run to Menards for a few supplies, so I popped the top on the Vette. It's 79 and sunny, low humidity, just delightful. The 17 hairs on top of my head were swaying in the breeze.

Yesterday I wiped down 3 cars and detail sprayed them. The rain yesterday evening beaded up nicely on them. Today they look like I did nothing. It IS rainy season. I grew up keeping my rides shining especially before the weekend. I always figured if I kept a clean car the ladies would think I kept a clean ....... nevermind ......

One of my chores today was to go steal some wheat from farmer Brown next door. Since it is for the wedding stealing is justified......sounds like a job for Ultraman!

Drove to Charleston midmorning. Picked up a friend and went hunting in the picknpull. Got out of there and managed to get to Costco before they closed. What a madhouse!

Got stopped by a State cop out in the backwoods, he sitting around a curve in the oncoming lane. Fun, fun. Gave me a warning though I was 12 over. Lots of protection driving around tonight. Must be on the look out for people partying too much...

Its been a while back but one Saturday afternoon I was with a friend driving back from a shooting match just north of New Holland in SC. I decided to take the scenic ride back to Aiken down through Wagener, SC and just leaving the town of Wagener I got on that big 351 in my Bronco a bit too much and got caught by County Cop coming the opposite direction. I was sweating bullets "literally". I was carrying a Glock 27 on my hip and a bug gun on my ankle. Tons of guns and ammo in the back of the truck. I showed him my license and registration and of course my CWP since he asked if I was carrying. He looked over the credentials and let us go. No warning, no nothing. Just told me to slow down and have a good day. I had been doing 55 in a 40 and thought he'd write me up for sure or even give me some BS about the guns... but let us roll.
