Wow! A special Birthday wish from the Poobah!

Thanks to everyone that gave me Birthday wishes today! I appreciate it. I'm going to pick up the car tonight. Hopefully have it back here tomorrow to do some things to it.

My brother would have been 71 today - I'm gonna raise a Drambuie in both of your directions ;-)

Drambuie! I've not had any of that since my dad was here. He used to make the stuff, told me to take it to the deer woods with me and sip on it to keep me warm.
Goof, he never wanted me to shoot a deer....
HOpe you had a great bday

Oh God... I just got home! I ate too much again!

A good friend came by and picked me up in his sweet 2008 Corvette Coupe and we took off for Sport Chevrolet to get my car. Then we hit the local Sushi Bar had a couple Sapporo's and some great Sushi! Then I got to drive my Corvette back home 25 miles in the pouring rain! This was a real litmus test for the car because this is the furthest I have driven this car since the rebuild and it was indeed pouring cats and dogs in the dark with wet roads, lightning and thunder. I had no idea if my headlights or my wipers would work. I have not used either in close to two years. They both worked great! As the ride progressed the rain let up enough for me to get to feel the car a bit and it was feeling real good. I can't wait to get some more kinks ironed out a bit.

Thanks again for the birthday wishes. I only have 40 minutes of Birthday left!

Best birthday present ever...getting to drive your Vette. Even if it was dark and rainy.
