A friend called me this morning and wanted to meet at the local 1/8th mile strip. I took Jay's C5 and since safety was definitely my priority I made several passes with the traction control on, and running Michelin runflat street tires. I did take it very easy and still got some decent ets.

8.40,8.43, and 8.49. MPH was very consistent at 91.64 to 91.74. My 60 ft times were all 2.08 or slightly higher as I wanted to launch it carefully and not spin at all.

I think Jay will be pleased. It has a whole lot more in it, but I was being very carefull instead of being aggressive with it.

I would like to equate that into 1/4 miles times any way of doing that? What mods has he made?

Using the 1.55 X 1/8th mile = 13.02. Probably actually a bit better as I was launching so soft. Mods are Blackwing air filter, VRX3 cam, rockers and springs, 2800 stall, Kooks long tube cats going back to Bassini catback. Most of the mods and then a custom tune by Vengeance Racing.

Good job! I would like to iron out a few more details then make it back to the strip one more time.

Even taking it easy it's fun to use the car for something other than cruising. Nice of you to test it out a little for him.

The MPH is real good and indicates easy 11 second et's at 115-118 mph dependent on a few variables. Of course you need to reel that 60 ft in as you know.

Good running car !
