Good morning.
At 06:33 the first favor request was already called in. I have to drive up to Miami again today with some more plants. Should have some DNBFS time this afternoon but tomorrow is another work day. Help SIL & BIL move, clean out Nanas apartment, clean A/C unit in the rental. Thursday will bring some pre Thanksgiving dinner gambling at the the casino. Who knows? Maybe we'll get lucky. Winner, winner turkey dinner.

Good Morning CGs!

I seem to have picked up a little cold from my kids. #1 was sick all last week and I was fine, now I have a cough and sinus problems, feeling a little under the weather. I'll tough through it. Back was sore when I woke up, too. Not happy about that. Again, I'll work through it. I think it's related to the cold...not sure how, but I didn't work out yesterday. Oh well.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Greetings! It's hump day already in the abbreviated week. I did a little practice napping yesterday afternoon, just to stay sharp for the long weekend ahead. You must be diligent to stay on top of your game.

Enjoy your day, everybody!

Good morning, all.

Cold, wet, and dreary in Philadelphia this morning.

The wife and I watched the "Chevy 100" special on Velocity last night. It was pretty good: lots of big names (Tony Stewart, Rick Hendrick, Funkmaster Flex, Jim Perkins, Guy Fieri, Jerry Palmer, Ed Welburn) but also lots of "normal" folks. They acknowledged the Corvair, which kind of surprised me - though they didn't mention the ugly stuff with Nader.

Good Corvette coverage, with all generations of the Corvette acknowledged.

Maybe I should read Chat first before making a new thread on Chev 100

As usual, today is DNBFS.
I am headed to Wally World to pack a couple of bags with cans and take them to the Food Bank.

I was in elementary school at the time. They turned on all the TVs in all the classrooms then shortly after released us from school. I watched the scene unfold from my house. The streets took on a quiet yet eerie mood. Everybody walked around in schock. At that time we lived in Boston and The Kennedy's were hometown heroes. I'll never forget it. Nor would I ever forget those fateful words that came couple days after.

After all this time, it is still hard to believe that Oswald pulled that off himself.

Now, back to our previously-scheduled tomfoolery:

I was at a conference in downtown Dallas about five years ago and was walking between two hotels (Dallas is a lot more spread out than it looks in pictures).

I walked down Houston Street and the streetscape started to look vaguely familiar, but I couldn't place it. To the right I saw a small park and an underpass.

Oh.

Dealey Plaza.

I look up and, yes, there's the Texas School Book Depository (buildings get new uses - it's now the Dallas County Administration Building).

I've always been a doubter that Oswald acted alone, but I left that area a little less so. It's smaller and closer than it looks in pictures: to me that makes Oswald's shots from that sixth floor window a good bit more possible.

Here are my wifes' clients of the past two days. She did some work on the grounds of their beautiful home. Upon completion they asked my wife if she would be willing to return. They were impressed with her work and tipped her crew members appreciably. I did not know who they were til this evening but that level of clientelle says volumes of the quality and notoriety of my wifes work. Most of my wifes clients comes by word of mouth and with the support and recommendation of Fairchild Tropical Gardens as well as other botanical societies. When they say your reputation preceeds you, this a perfect example of how doing excellent work at a fair price pays dividends year after year after year. I'm lucky to have her. Andres and I talked about cars for about 10 minutes. He owns a couple mid 90s Miatas a 96 911, a BMW M3 and a 2004 Honda S2000. He would like to get into autocross. Nice couple.

My wife has been making, developing and testing a new insect control product that is 100% natural and non-toxic. Right now it is being tested on whitefly with great success. The base ingredient of this insect control product is being cultivated and grown in Haiti as well as in our nurseries. I was offered a position to oversee the construction of a project in Haiti. I turned it down. I would have absolutely no DNBFS time and be away from home a lot. I have opportunities falling in my lap. I'm just not inclined to jump back into rat race. There is time and there is money. Right now I prefer time. I'm not rich, just comfortable.

Glad to hear you have a tight rear, Bill. Hopefully when you seal it up there aren't any oil problems. Then you'll have a tight rear that doesn't leak. Nothing worse than a loose leaky rear.

Evening folks....GP day was great this morning. Then we took the two older girls out to eat at Ihop. Then I came back and dropped off grandma and the two girls and went across town to pick up a laptop computer for a client back home. Started configuring it and decided it was time for a nap, so an hour and a half latter got up and installed a new light fixture for daughter in her dining room.....12' high ceilings-6' ladder. interesting times.

Just got done with Thanksgiving with the granddaughters as they get to do T-giving with their father....I hate this situation, but it's not my decision.

Nice new truck Marcus. Congrats To the wife Tommy. Glad your rear end is in good shape Bill.

Tomorrow I get to hang Christmas lights on her house....not looking forward to that necessarily.

I'll do the 3 seals.

I lost me Prussiam Blue somewhere in the shop, pissed me off, I wanted to do a gear pattern.
