Good Morning CGs!

Alarm worked this morning. Amazing when you turn it on, it does its job.

Got a chance to work on the car last night. Got ready, couldn't find my torque wrench. Then couldn't find the gasket maker, then couldn't find some miscellaneous stuff. It was the universe's sign to stop and not do the job. But being the reckless individual I am, I did not heed that warning. Found all the stuff, put a nice bead of the right stuff down and installed the intake, torqued, voila. Perfect. Until I realized I didn't take the paper towels out of all the ports. Seriously? WTF? Who does that? Apparently me. I was in such a rush I just neglected to do it. Off with the intake. Clean everything again, painstakingly. Ran out of TRS, so I used permatex ultra blue that I had. Still worked out ok. So another hour later the intake base was installed. Again. Ugh. I'm gonna retorque today and then pull the VCs and try to install the runners and plenum. Hopefully I have some time. We'll see.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Greetings! And LMAO, Matt - at least I am not alone in occasionally needing to be fitted for a dunce cap. The thermometer isn't going to have to work very hard tomorrow, only a high of 68. Sounds like a decent weekend ahead though, in the mid-70's. I'm planning to do some damage to the turf at a local golf course on Sunday. Was sorry to see the Cowboys win last night - I still hold a grudge from 1975.

Don't do this at home. Or anywhere else:

Have a good day, Gurus!

Morning guys...I've done those kinds of things before, Matt. Don't beat yourself up over them. Good luck on the goof course Brad.

Short week and I am glad. The MSers have been wild. I'm ready for the weekend. Got to go.

You probably shouldn't try this, either - on average, it takes 45 seconds for a Twinkie to explode in a microwave.

Going to be 91 here so must go out early. Tonight the Ultras are feeding the football team after practice. We will be featuring a Taco Bar with all the fixens. How many Taco's can 70 starved teenagers and their coaches eat? We shall see. I think we have 300 taco shells including the soft shells and 30 lbs of taco meat and huge bags of chips. If they don't eat all of it we will be having tacos here for a long time.

Not much else going on. Good luck today Brad....Matt I thought I was the only one did stuff like that, glad you remembered and got it fixed. ( I don't know why it isn't running honey...) Tom the weekend is almost here so hang in there.

Have a great day Guru's.....

It has been one of those roller coaster days here.

Last week my boss was downsized. Now did anybody try to learn what all he did becore they canned him ? Noooooo. So, my new boss (1 step above the old boss) needs reports generated by next Wednesday. Wanna guess who the only person that knew how to to that was ? Anyways, a bunch of it is landing on me. Oh joy.

But, I did get my Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets! Row 21, center section, aisle seat. WooHoo !

Next up, got to fix Michelle's sump pump tonight. Simple fix fortunately, coupling came apart and I need to replace a couple hose clamps.

Got to come up with something to wrap the day up on an up note.

Is the line in question steel from end to end? If so, this might be a easy fix. I looked at this product at the local NAPA today with plans on replacing some lines on my truck. The display had a good selection of fittings, unions, etc.
And it does bend very nicely!
