Good morning.

I still like a plain old vanilla ice cream, hot fudge sundae with whipped cream, sprinkled with walnuts. When going out to eat, we all know that many times when it comes time to order dessert, we are too full to order it. Solution: Order dessert for an appertizer while you wait to order your dinner. Better yet, skip the main course and order 3 desserts. Say, ice cream, cookies or a brownie and a slice of pie.

Have a good day gang and batten down the hatches you folks in the northeast.

Good Morning CGs!

Tommy, a friend of my friend has the best idea....order dessert first and her meal second. Then she gets to enjoy the dessert, and just eat as much of the main course as to make her full. Then she takes the large portion of leftovers home for dinner the next night

I am a sucker for a good sundae. I load it up with as many toppings as possible, and at least three flavors of ice cream. Yum.

I usually don't think of ice cream too much in the cold weather, but it's still a nice treat every once in a while.

How was everyone's Saturday night?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning guys....I like plain ole vanilla too Tommy. The church bazaar went over OK. They had a "Turkey shoot" game with dice. I spent $4 on it and actually won 5, 1lb. hamburger packages and a 10lb turkey. Not bad for a guy who rarely wins anything.

Greetings! I just looked out the window and saw a thin blanket of snow covering the truck. No golf today :-P

Last night we watched a collage of pictures our friends put on their computer, of our trips up here since 1983. I don't know what happened, but good lawd, my carcass has gotten old. And the kids turned from infants to pushing 30. Lots of good times, though.

Enjoy your day, everyone!

On our day off we drove up to Miami to look at a jobsite. Did some grocery shopping. Caught a racoon in the trap we set and took her out to the woods and released her. Fiesty little devil. They tear up the potted plants so they gotta go. Hopefully I'll get to put a butt imprint on the couch for the rest of the day. We'll see.

I made a deeper impression on my couch than I thought I would. That was after I had a cup of coffee to try to keep my eyes open. There's an hour that simply dissappeared from my day. Two really. Now I have to try and wake up again. The winds returned mid morning and have been around all day. That's 5+ days of wind. You guys in the Northeast are in for a long haul.

Afternoon....I was kind of rooting for the Tigers too, but we have a pot at school and I have won two games. If it ends in four my take is bigger.

Marcus,

It was a non-Corvette vacation (for once): the two of us took a cruise on the (huge) Queen Mary 2 up the New England/Canadian shoreline. I'm a sucker for the whole Cunard history thing and the ship certainly is ridiculous.

We are hunkered down right now: the worst of the storm is supposed to be Monday night/Tuesday morning and it's heading straight for us. At this point, I expect a significant power outage, but I'd love to be proved wrong.
