Last day to prep for the party and here I sit f'n off on the computer. I asked for a small, quick party with family. What I got was 117 invitations sent, a band, a soloist and a local harmonica wonder coming. Should be tons of fun in the sun. Sort of like a funeral/wedding/birthday party. Actually there will probably be MORE people here tomorrow than will attend my funeral. You know what they say at funerals and weddings. "We should get together more" or "We don't get together enough". Tomorrow I hope I don't hear my name called to much from across the yard .......... Tommy !!! .......... Has anybody seen Tommy? ............ Excuse me, my wife is calling ................. again .......

Morning guys....I'm packing up getting ready to head west. Stopping at the FIL house for a visit on the way. Raining here this morning.

NICE MORNING IN THE NATIONS, HUMIDITY DOWN, A LITTLE BREEZE.

#2 DAUGHTER & SIL HERE FOR THE WEEKEND, COMPLETE WITH DOGS. ONE, PART BEAGLE, IS A NOTORIOUS ESCAPE ARTIST, AND HAS ALREADY DEMONSTRATED HIS SKILL.

THINK I'LL GIVE SIL HIS BDAY PRESENT EARLY SO I CAN PLAY WITH IT TOO :-)

Kinda like the party we went to yesterday......although at this one everyone was driving Corvettes and there was a street band and they had several bars set up for adult beverages......it was fun till the big cloud came over and dumped rain on all the shiny Corvettes and folks......

Got to give a shout out to Rejex.......I put on a double coat of it and the front of my car was plastered with 550 miles of bugs and took a hose and they just all went away.........thanks Tee for the heads up on that product it is the best.........

Today the Faces and other wonders as we road trip through the Hills.....sun is shining but it will no doubt rain on us somewhere along the way.....pics when we get back home.....

My drivers door won't open so the metallic plate that makes contact is dirty or if I can I will buy a new one in town.......doors open weird on a C6....

Could not get on the site all day yesterday..........70 degrees today up here and no humidity......whats not to love.......we will run topless again today.....

Greetings! We had some severe storms roll through last night - fortunately no damage here (that I know of), but some other areas were not so lucky. The sun is shining brightly now, gonna be toasty out on the golf course.

Nice to see the Marcus triplets make an appearance ;-)

Exciting morning here for Californians, I was watching about 30+ lightning strikes out the window. I'm sure that's discouraged on a warning label somewhere.

3 palm trees were hit a few blocks away and caught fire, and some power poles too, causing power outages.

Sun's was out 30 minutes later, back to your regularly scheduled broadcast.

Made it to FIL house. Will stay around for a while, before heading on home.

Lots of party prep is complete. Lots of last minute cooking to be done tomorrow but everything is ready to go. The trailer is the stage for the band. You just might be a redneck if ............. nevermind .......

An old cowboy went to a bar last night and saw a fat chick dancing on a table. He said, "Great legs."

The girl giggled and said, "Do you really think so."

He said, "Definitely! Most tables would have collapsed by now."

I'm loving that out west humor Gris......I think we saw that girl last night in fact.......

Big day of doing turista stuff.....Went to see our forefathers faces then down to Boyd's Fine Junk Yard....world famous you know......have pics to document everything......took US 385 out of Deadwood south to Custer then over to Custer State Park to the Game Lodge for a large bowl of Buffalo Stew.....it was the best......then up Iron Mountain road where there were Buffalo all over the place, just waiting to be made into stew no doubt......then Keystone back to Rapid then some Sturgis T-Shirts in Sturgis and back in Spearfish tonight.......There were Corvettes everywhere we went driving the twisty's....

My drivers door still won't open so that was a pain in the ass all day. I took the thing apart and cleaned it up with contact cleaner and used some scotch bright pads and put it back on and it still did not work......well it worked once or twice then back to not. More research is needed I'm thinking......

Tomorrow we hang out some and hit a few more favored places......

Take a run over to Devil's Tower if you get a chance and haven't been there, Marcus - it's pretty cool. Are you gonna run in the drag races?

After about an 8 hour visit with FIL and supper with SIL and Niece (nieces' hubby cooked and very well I might add) we headed home. I think it was in record time from hometown. I didn't let any grass grow under my tires. Two freaking deer scared the sh!t out of me, so I decided to run with my brights as much as I could, but that brought out the bugs in force. Tomorrow will be a day of cleaning the Corvette, inside and out.
