THE WORLD LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER WHEN VIEWED FROM AN AIR CONDITIONED HOUSE! GOT LIGHTS BACK ABOUT 1930 YESTERDAY, AFTER 53 HOURS. THE LOCAL CO-OP HAD ABOUT 90 POLES DOWN, AMONG OTHER PROBLEMS.

THE SUN IS SHINING ON THE NATIONS, GOING TO GET HOT. NOW I'VE GOT TO GET THE PACE BACK IN NORMAL ORDER. GETTING THE KITCHEN 'FRIG BACK IN IT'S NICHE BY MYSELF WILL BE A PIA.

You never know how much you appreciate electricity until you don't have it. You reach for the light switches that don't work, you look into a dark and warming fridge and freezer. I have a diesel generator for backup but it's only enough to power the lights, ceiling fans and fridge. No 220 stuff like the A/C, dryer, stove or water heater. But since we built the new shed, everything in there is 110/120 so I guess we could hide out in there if the need arises. Which reminds me, it's time to crank up the generator and let it run awhile .

In the last month and a half, I've turned on the A/C (swamp) 3 times for about 2 hours.

A/C in the 92 and truck - twice.

The weather has been well, Reno.

Morning guys...church over with already. Nice sermon, from a Ugandan mission priest. Not sure what is on the agenda for today...probably another coat of mud on the spots here that need it and a couple little odd jobs for #3 at their new house. And of course, the Royals play at noon. Going to be hot today.

Greetings! Had a nice day on the golf course yesterday, then came home and got caught up on some more chores, was busy all evening. Thunder and lightning overnight led to sleepus interruptus, so my nap chair may get a workout today.

Glad to hear your electricity came back, GRIS - it is definitely one of those things we take for granted.

Have a good day, all!
