Going to try and spend some car and boat time this week and launch the bathroom addition to the back shed/field office. Glad I got 2 days of rest. The rest is history.

Today we must resume our work as we move forward with courage into the new year....... really I just want to go back to bed and read the sports page...... Dense fog warnings today but I don't see any fog now.......

I get to drive a big heavy truck today as I get stuff ready for the long haul guys.........more later

ANOTHER TWO NAP DAY, I FEAR.

Morning guys....Lots of activity around the house with #1 getting ready to head home. Bedding is removed and the first load in the wash. We will get things back to 'normal' later today. #2, #2 and #3 GSs just walked in, so it's really hopping right now. Getting things back to normal is the only real thing on the agenda today.

The weather is looking pretty good right now. It's cool, but headed to the 50s, before the big cool down tonight and the rest of the week.

Trying to put a fire under my ass but the ringing of the phone just put out my flame ......... As usual, a mid day nursery sitting chore takes away any desire for any major accomplishment either before or after. A friend wants to do dinner and a movie later. Guess I'll just flush away the day. On a positive note ...... Sue got an offer for a free cruise. We're looking at a June escape to Grand Turk, Dominican Republic, Curacao and Aruba. Been there and done that we could do it again. Three sea days on an 8 day cruise where we would have nothing better to do than hang around the casino.

My last week of Christmas vacation. Cloudy today rain the rest of the week. We need all the rain we can get here in central California. So this is good news For Bakersfield and Kern county.

Hidey-ho! Last sleep-in day, so I took advantage. The snow is starting to fall - we're not gonna get much, but the temps are gonna start to plummet. Meanwhile, all the Christmas stuff got put away yesterday. I imagine we'll be finding glitter for the next 6 months.

House is empty, so we are also putting Christmas away. I've got all the lights down from outside Rosie has most of the stuff down in the house, just need to haul the tree downstairs and put it in its' bag. Still pretty chilly out there.

Got Christmas put away Saturday, it's done nothing but rain here and I got sick again - lovely way to spend 4-day weekends. Didn't get much else accomplished around here as I'd planned but there'll be other days.

A PLEASANT SURPRISE, WOKE FROM MY AFTERNOON NAP TO FIND THE SUN SHINING, AND IT TURNED INTO A NICE DAY. THERE WAS JUST ENOUGH RAIN TO LAY THE DUST.

IT'S SUPPOSED TO GET COLD AGAIN TOMORROW NIGHT. ONE WOULD THINK IT WINTER.

The dense fog warning were right on......thicker than pea soup out there....all day. Got my load done and the drivers off on their runs.....took me forever to make sure all the paper work was done and all the stickers put on for the new year......then I found out the trailer going south had just run out on its DOT Inspection, which if they catch you is an immediate out of service......

Luckily the big truck stop here does them so we zoom over there and it only need one tire to be compliant........so got that done......

Now I am having some Snow White Chicken and fried rice from the Oriental food joint in town........very tasty..........

Got a call from #3 GS and he wanted help with a school project. He was assigned or chose the Mythical god Cronus. The assignment was to come to school dressed like the god, so he needed Grandma to help with the garb, she made a toga and a banner. I went out and made a sickle. Turned out pretty cool. While doing that I got a call about a computer needing work, so as soon as I finished the sickle I went over and cleaned the computer up. The older gentleman also does some woodworking so he quizzed me all the while I'm there about different woodworking questions. When I get all done hbe asks me how much he owed me, I'd been there a couple hours, and tried to, like I do all my clients, how to keep the computer cleaned so he doesn't have to call me back every so often, and I tell him, "Do you have a $20 bill?" "OH no, that's not near enough", and pulls another $20 out and ends up giving me $40. Treat people right and they'll treat you right.

The cold front has almost made it here. Temps have dropped dramatically. Not supposed to get back above freezing until Saturday......maybe.
