I may need to move my car when I move, and I'm just not ready to fire it up yet.
Is the body strong enough anywhere for three or four guys to push it up a driveway and into the garage? Driveway has a slight incline, so it will need a bit of effort to get it up and into the garage. What do you think? |

For some reason I keep thinking winch it up. Maybe they have something at Taylor Rental.

I thought the same thing. To use a come-a-long or winch.
I was also thinking that the flatbed carrier might be able to back up the driveway and drop it right into the garage bay. I'm not sure how accurate they are with placement though. |

Rollbacks with a good driver can put it in the garage. Are you on Andy Wheelers Md vette people list-from the "other" site. You may find someone there who has a rollback or trailer. Then make it an event! BTW I will be in the area tomorrow night

Are you going to be in Columbia tomorrow? What time you free? I won't be back to the house until around 5:00 or 5:30PM probably. I don't think the wife has any plans for me. Let me see what's going on and I'll get back with you here tomorrow or in a PM. |

I've pushed the vette by myself with no problems. Since I was alone, I opened the door and pushed on the lower part of the A-pillar. Once it gets rolling not too much effort. Vette is light compared to some other cars I've pushed in the past...

I've been pushing mine around for years...it's frequently not running, too much of a PITA to start, or just too cold to run the race engine.
If there's not much incline you can push it by yourself or with one person. I usually push on the A-pillar so I can steer while someone else pushes on the rear. If there's an incline get two in the back, and one on each A-pillar. Just push near the top of the bumper where it's stronger. |

Try pushing on the top of the rear tires, or the fronts with the hood up, or the A-pillar. The tops of the tires gives you twice the leverage because the top of the tire moves twice as fast/easy as the car itself.
The back bumper is flimsy and you can damage the paint or clear from squishing the bumper in if it's a cheap repaint. I had to push mine recently when the trans failed and some paint came off. |
