Plenty of dog days left for me. August and September are peak months for hurricanes. It's been downright oppressive outside. You go out and are immediately greeted with a wall of heat and humidity. The reptiles don't seem to mind it too much. I'm confused about out cat though. He still spends a lot of time outdoors. I don't know why when he has a nice cool bed with pillows to lie on. Waste of time trying to figure out a cat.

Good mornin, trying to get caught up at the office, someone at least filtered out a bunch of the junk mails, have a couple of things in there I need to tend to. Have a dude with a Harley coming soon wanting something to cover up a paint blotch on the tour pack, bragging to me about how expensive it is and yadda yadda. He's one of *those* (insert eye roll)
Couple other little things and I have a ton of missed calls. Only 4 left messages and 3 of those were spam. I'll call the one back, if they didn't leave me a message then it must not be too important or they got someone else to handle it.
Have the Rover at Arron's dealership for a new door actuator. When I got the thing packed to leave, and tried to lock it, started beeping at me and alarm going off. He got in the "message center" and found which thingamajig was the problem. I can get an ebay part for 100 and him fix it but we did get the warranty on there aftermarket so he's doing it at the stealership. Part there is 500, dang. Well, at least with a job ticket, he will get paid for fixing it. I'll only be out 250 total. Not happy to be driving this tank of a truck of his though

The Suburban is cutting off while driving and the DIC screens all shut down. Hoping it is just a ground issue. Going to clean the grounds and hope for the best. Just turned over 118k miles on it. Still should have a long life ahead of it. Two other items I saw from online help were egr valve or fuel pump. Neither I think would shut down the DIC screens. Mechanical/electrical stuff ..... It's always sumthin. I don't like the new body style of the Suburban. Don't really want to dump that much into a vehicle either. Maybe go for an upgrade to a 2020 with less than 50k on the clock. Hell, you can have issues with any vehicle at any time though. Sometimes trying to escape a problem you create a new one.

Good Afternoon CGs!

Little cooler here today, windows open and AC off. Not bad. But that means winter is just around the corner....

Cost of new cars is pretty insane, Tommy. Seems like we will give my accord to RR#1 next year as her first car because she doesn't want my mom's car. I was looking at the price of low mileage Tacomas and they're a hair under $40k for a CPO before taxes and fees. Great. Can't wait.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I don't think I will ever buy a brand new vehicle again....my Harley was the last new purchase..... it was back in the early 2000's that we were still buying new.... payments were around $400 bucks a month.... now they are 800 to $1000 or more a month...... get them coming off lease and they may be more affordable and still have some drivetrain warranty....

And that's why it's cheaper to keep her. But only if the gremlin can be forced to show itself. I HATE intermittent problems. It's easier to fix stuff that breaks.

Hey guys, another busy day. Ben and I finished the bedside tables, mowed the weeds at the storage shed, washed his car and used a ceramic sealer detailer on it to help keep the thing clean. Got everything loaded and ready to go in the morning.

My Silverado started having a flaky issue with the radio screen, sometimes the thing locks up in whatever mode it is in, ie SiriusXM, Nav or whatever. When it is on Sirius, it flakes back forth to the main screen to the listing of channels and locks in my screen on the dash. If you figure out your problem Tommy, let me know what it is....sounds like my pickup has similar issues.
