no. The Fbody wheels have different offset. Look goofy.

Check www.tirerack.com (Guru Sponsor, see banners).

There are a number of 16" rims by Craeger and American Racing that should work for you.

If it was me, I would actually consider upgrading to a 17" rim. The 275/40/17 is a great look for any vintage C4 and allows for a standard rim width (9.5") all around. Just be sure the offsets are right.

offset is different than backspacing. It's either a positive or negative number and ALWAYS measured in metric.

Offset is how far the hub face is from the centerline of the rim. Postive is where the hub is pushed out (much like a FWD rim) and negative is where the hub is set back towards the car, think an old school set of reverse mags.

Backspacing is how far the hub is from the rims inside edge.

With all of that said, yours runs the 38mm offset. Or something very close to that. So anything within a MM or 2 will be ok. I suspect any rim you shop for the C4 will be measure in this manner.

Nice looking wheels.

You can get 17" tires starting around $90 for a decent tire and it opens up tons of options on wheels. How much are the 16s you're pricing out?

Will bolt up alright, but the backspacing will be off, I think. Wasn't it '88 when they changed it?

The rears are gonna sit too far in. You can use a spacer, but I have an irrational fear of those.

Somebody make sure I'm right about the backspacing, please. I don't wanna steer pappy wrong.

Oh, and the 70 on the front sounds weird. Are you sure it's not 50?

That's a really short tire, maybe only 24.8" compared to your stock 26" tires.

Try 245/45-17 255/45-17 or 275/40-17.

For 16" wheels, add 5 to the middle number.

You can get the backs to fit, but getting them to clear your front brakes will be a challenge.

I have some C5 magnesium wheels if you're interested.

17x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear. Fronts are curbed pretty bad, but I'll let the set go cheap.
