Some of you remember all the work I'd had to do on the vette. Took a risk and took it on a 7hr roadtrip last weekend from Jonesboro to Gatlinburg, TN, Smoky Mountains. Ran great!

pretty pictures!

We were in Nashville back in March. It looks like lovely countryside... it's just that everything was still dead from the winter! Infact, I think it snowed the week before we were there!

Great drive and a great job done! You have made your vette reliable. That's SO important!

That drive makes all those sore knuckles worth it! I do enjoy the drive to Gatlinburg from my area. I always go into Pidgeon Forge also. Glad you had a good trip. Nice car also!

Did about the same thing yesterday. About 15 of us from the Atlanta area made a trip to Brasstown Bald (highest peak in GA at 4740 ft). We did some very spirited driving, especially over Neal's gap just north of Dhalonega. It was a really fun day.

Glad to hear it went so well. A road trip is always a pleasure in my Corvette, but only a task to be completed in my sedan.

I guess its been a long time since I considered my elevation.
Pueblo sits around 4,300 ft. And we're the lowlanders!

Pikes Peak is like 13,000ft. Gives me a headache to be up there too long. Not enough air!

My house is at 5,600 and I'm looking up at the mountain.

Cars and bikes run a little rich on top of Pikes. 2 stroke bikes are really hard to start up there.
The last time I went up there was on 2 wheels in the race.
