I'm going to be paiting my valve covers...

1. Do I need to drain the oil to take off the valve covers?
2. If No, can I start the engine with the valve covers removed?
3. Any suggestions on color?

1. No need to drain oil
2. Yes, but it will spatter oil while running, so you'll want something to keep it contained. Some folks adjust the valves with the engine running.
3. No idea - if you have a particular look you're after, just stick with something that will fit your scheme.

THanks.
I checked out your music and i liked it. The only thing was when I checked out Kaliga, I was hoping for the old Hank Williams tune. Where do you live in AV? I sell insurance in Richfield right off of 77 and 66th st.

Thanks much! We're about a half-mile east of the zoo, in between Johnny Cake Ridge Road and Pilot Knob Road - been out there for over 20 years. It sure has changed since we first moved out there!
