I've never tried this, but there's a video on youtube showing a person unlocking a door with a tennis ball.

That used to work on some cars, like hondas, that had a vacuum locking systems - some cars I believe it still works on, but it won't work on corvettes.

The PKE is locked in the car? Try shaking the car to jiggle it and see if you can get it open. Otherwise, what Andy said - carefully slip a coathanger between the window and weatherstripping and hit the unlock button.

Two blondes are shopping at the mall. When they are done they go out to their car, which happens to be an awesome leather interior convertible. When they get to the car, they realize they had locked the keys in the car. So they both kind of stand there and think for a while. Then one has the idea to try to open the car with a hanger. So the first blonde starts fiddling with the lock with the hanger. The other blonde looks up at the sky and suddenly becomes very worried.
'HURRY, HURRY," she urges. "IT'S GOING TO RAIN AND WE LEFT THE TOP DOWN!''

I stick a coat hanger in there with a slight bend a few inches from the end. Shove it down into the armrest pocket, as you push, you need to get the coathanger to bow out sideways into the switch and trip it. This gives you plenty of leverage.

You might scratch the a-pillar trim a bit if your windows are all the way up.

Keep in mind the alarm will trip as soon as you open the door, IF it was locked while the doors were open.

Same thing happened to me with my brand new to me 95. I read all the posts on how to do it, but ended up with the coathanger. I put a piece of plastic sheathing between the rubber and the window. I had some underlayment left from a tile job which was thin enough. Cardboard should do the trick.

I ended up having to strengthen the coat hangar with another hanger wire as when I hit the lock button, the wire would bend without the reinforcement. This, unless you can find a stronger piece of rod as thin as the hanger.

I used a broom stick. Upper right hand corner of the drivers door. Worked for me.

Actually the comparison used is a felony in most states, but for those searching how to unlock their car, the shaking of the car is actually described in the owner's manual.

That said, for those of us with faulty remotes, the shaking won't work.
