They look like LPEs. I believe these were available in stainless too, but these don't appear to be that. I'm pretty sure they have 1 3/4" pimaries but I can't say for sure. Both they and 1 5/8s may have been available. It likely was an LTx/L98 thing as far as primary size goes. I do know that it's been some time since LPE long tubes were available for C4s.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the offer to measure. That will help! Do you have angle plug heads?

If any one else has info on these headers i'd appreciate it..

yeah i have angled plugs one thing i found when tearing motor down recently was that these headers were a right pain to get out I'm thinking of returning to ram horn style when i put the engine back in.

The tube configuration, air and egr fittings look like my LPE 1 5/8" long tubes.

These tubes are definitely larger than mine and the collectors also appear to be a bit different which makes sense given the larger tube diameter. My collectors step down from 3" to 2 1/2" for the LPE supplied slip fit y-pipe, intended for the L98 main cat.

Its hard to tell if these have the same step down 2 1/2" collector, since the slip fit y-pipe is in place, but its likely that they do.

I'd say that they appear to be old LPE 1 3/4" Long tubes.

AHHH Mr. Joe... I was finally able to drop the Pside cat pipe. Had not only to drop the Y-hanger, but also break the D-side cat-to-ex manifold joint. Whatapain.

Thanks...

ICC fault chase thread is now at DC. I'm believin' mice put the whammy on me there by chewin' wiring insulation under-dash.

The nightmare continues...

Bought some hooker 2051s. Sand blasted them, welded flowmaster ball+socket collectors, had them ceramic coated with the 2000f stuff, cut my Lt1 exhaust, welded the collectors and bolted it all in. Sounds pretty good.

For some reason I've gone from idling at 13hg to 11hg, so I did a compression test. 165-170 in every cylinder. So maybe I have a bad plug wire. Don't see how an exhaust change would LOWER my vac. Cam isn't that big.

Fun stuff. I have the LT1 cat back, and the offset oil filter adapter (nice part) but ditched the LT1 manifolds/cats. What a pain in the ass. Cost me like $200 to try something that didn't work.

Good luck on the wiring. I've had to replace a few stretches of wire on mine as well. I gotta rewire the HVAC eventually too.
