Good Morning CGs!

How is everyone's day so far? Finally have a few minutes and I've been trying to catch up on some old threads I missed. Seems as if everyone is doing well.

Weather is decent now, supposed to rain tonight. I really need to wash my truck, too, it's filthy. I'm really bad about it, too. I know I should do it more often, but I always go "it's gonna rain, anyway..."

Anyone have big plans for the weekend? I have three more days of work, so no weekend for me Post up what you've got going on!

Good Morning Gurus!

I'm so glad it's Friday, I can't begin to tell ya!

It's been one of those semi-crappy weeks. Nothing horrible, but I just need it to end.

I may be taking my older son to a Corvette show at the Chevy dealership here in Colorado Springs. The only bugger is that it would mean driving back up here on the weekend. The only thing that sucks more than driving a hundred miles a day five days a week, is doing it six times a week.

So, we'll see if I have the energy to make the trip...

Thank goodness this week is almost over...oh wait, not for me. I got to work this weekend and I lay grout tonight. Sounds like fun huh? Oh well, on a good note I am getting my laptop today!!

Finally Friday and this time I am prepared.

It looks like my plans for this weekend may have to be changed. This is the weekend of the 28th ST. Metro Cruise and it is now steadily raining and looks like it will continue through out the weekend, bummer. Upside, at least I don't have to do yard work.

I am currently having a problem with my ride, seems the window switch is no longer working and I can't put up my window, glad I have a garage. I went to Corvette Central to see what one of those little plastic switches cost, Holy Crap $169. That and it needs new rear wheel bearings (going HD tappered) it may be down for a while. Uhhh....god I love driving that thing.

Boring day at the office, same crap different day.
Picked up my police report today and found out dude that hit me not only has no insurance, no DL either GGRRRRR! And, get this, the cop estimated the damage to my car to only be $1000!
Gotta make up my mind on the paint, have an appointment at the body shop tomorrow to give him my final decisions on things.

Can police really give authoritative damage estimates at the scene? I would imagine what he says has little bearing on anything regarding your claim. That seems wrong.

Was the driver on-scene when the police got there?

If so, seems like he should have been taken into custody right then and there. No insurance and no DL? Sheesh!

It gets worse, I deciphered his statement in the report, he wrote it in very broken spanish, he is trying to say that I stopped suddenly in front of him giving him no time to stop. That jackass hit me going fast enough for his airbags to deploy, even if I hadn't been there at all, he'd nailed the truck in front of me as fast as he was going.
