I think I am going to raise mine up to 26 inches front and 26.5 rear. Right now I am at 25.5 front 26 rear. Factory was about 2 inches higher than mine is right now. Hawaii roads arent forgiving. Its manageable with the ZO7 springs and HAL/QA1 shocks, but the pucker factor is tight once in a while. Also, does too low affect handling, even with a good alignment?

I think when it's lowered 1 inch it looks it's best. That's my opinion.

Too low is when the front spoiler is scraping.

Do you have a pic of what your ride height is now?

Well, the rear camber links are more leveled out when lowered, so you get slightly less increase of negative camber when the tire loads up. Possibly the same in front, but the castor takes over.

On paper, this sounds like it'd get you a tiny bit less footprint on the outside rear tire during cornering, but the lower CG might more than make up for it.

Not really. I put a zip tie on the front shock, and it barely had any room left, when the shocks were on mid range, after driving it around.
But, teh pucker factor is high over some speed bumps, as I take them at an angle anyways.

Looks aside, too low is when your rear lower control arms are higher at the knuckle attachment point than at the pumpkin. Ideally, you want that bar to be parallel to the ground. I'd have to check, but I believe at that point your toe arms will also be level.

So, as long as the rear camber bars aren't pointing up towards the knuckles I am good, in the rear?
I just checked the rear camber rods. They are dead on level. So when I get in they probably start pointing up. So, should I raise it up a little.

Depends on how stiff your springs are, but most likely yes.

You can make the adjustments while you have the car on the scales to get the corner weights with the bars unhooked.

The difference in angle between the half shaft and lower camber arm determines your camber curve.

More angle equals more camber change.

Lowering the car just moves you further up the camber curve. The camber curve isn't constant, the lower the car goes, the flatter it gets. But the change is pretty small.

I don't see the big deal really, as long as it doesn't bottom out.

Mine looks about the same as yours, and I don't have any problems to speak of. Sure, I have to avoid going over speed bumps straight-on, but there is nothing that prevents me from driving it just about everywhere - and Arizona roads are no picnic...

How much shock travel (F & R) do you have now?
That is, until the suspension hits the travel limits.

Yes, there's a too low when the spring is sitting flat against the frame channel and not doing what it was designed for!

It's too low when you hit a bump, look in your rearview and see pieces of your exhaust laying in the road.

I guess mine's not too low then since it hasn't performed the instant low backpressure exhuast mod on its own yet.

However, I do have to enter and exit my driveway one wheel at a time so I don't high center.
