NICE!!!

Will you be able to set it in with the headers, pulley and balancer all installed or will you uninstall those parts prior to installation? Trans going on before install or are you bolting it to the trans with the trans already in the car?

Reason I ask is I'm going to do an engine swap in a couple of weeks. I was thinking of unbolting heads and all, then pull out the old shortblock, then install the new shortblock (cam already in of course), then install new heads and top end. Should make it easier to get to the bellhousing to block bolts. Not sure tho, this will be my first Corvette engine swap.

Mods are
AFR 180 comp. ported heads milled to 58cc. Upgraded springs.
Miniram with 52mm throttle body.
24 lb. Bosch injectors.
1.6 Scorpion roller rockers. Hardened push rods
TPIS zz409 cam
TPIS long tube headers.
Level V performance chip by TPIS.
Rebuilt motor with approx. 6k miles. 10:5 to 1 comp.

Headers will come off to install motor. Trans in under the car. Will put in after engine install.
This is the second time I have pulled the motor. Not that big a deal. I had to pull the trans because T/O bearing came apart after only 6k miles and I thought what the hell. Motor came out.
Wife is still trying to figure out why a T/O bearing would cause damage to all these new parts when the motor was basically new.

Am looking forward to getting it running.

Nice looking motor! Do you have any power goals in mind?

My good buddy has that ZZ409/miniram in his 350 (6spd), and it performs rather well up top, but it's a dog down low because of the bigger fastburn heads. But I guess that's what generally happens when you put a 210cc head on a 350. But you won't have that issue with the 180's. Good choice!

Are you sure those 24's will be enough? What rpm are u looking to spin it 2?

Not sure of anything! I am at the mercy of others with knowledge of these things. I ask questions and hope for the best. TPIS and AFR have been great at answering questions. I would have bought any injectors. Jim at TPIS said with my build up 24's were the ones. We'll see!

Gotcha. I bet when it's all said and done you will be sure of alot of things.

So no power goals? Or is it whatever it gets, it gets? That's sometimes the best approach!

Jesse Azzato does my tuning and I'm amazed at how far he has shown me he has gone on 24lb injectors. In his car currently he is running bottom 10's on only 30 lb injectors. I'm hoping to run high 11's on motor, figure mid 11's at very best, and turning 6300 rpms tops. He said that the 24lb bosch injectors will handle that easily and can handle plenty more. I don't need to worry about it on spray as long as it is good on motor as the nitrous is a wet kit, the enrichment fuel does not come through the injectors. I know nothing about injector sizing other than the fact that Jesse has been spot on with my tuning and what advice he has given so far so I'm going to trust him and stick with the 24's.
