Well, I have had my Cray Manta wheels for a little while now. I got them when the microsoft rebate on Ebay was at 20-25% so the price was real good.

I just ordered and received my Avon M Tech 550 tires this week out of NC. Free shipping at $415 but the rebate was only at 8%. Oh well, at least there was no tax. I've had these tires before on a Supra and they actually aren't bad. Made in the US if you can believe that.

Got them mounted and balanced and installed on the car tonight. Luckily the previous owner had left the lock nut key in the car. Whew! They don't look bad.

What I did not know is that the wheels either come out of or are made by TSW. Though I've read a lot about Cray and I thought they were made by that company, the wheels have TSW stickers on the barrel and they come out of a warehouse owned by TSW. I was wondering what was going on as when you visit the Cray website, you can't get an address for them or a phone number. That makes me a little annoyed, but from what I understand, they are supposed to be ok. I got 17x9 all the way around with 275/40-17's on them as recommended.

Oh, that's harsh! Harsh I say!!!!

Pitch black, we got the last wheel torqued correctly by flashlight! Yes, we used the sound of the click but still needed to put the flashlight on the wheel to get the socket on

I'll put up pictures tomorrow...after I wash it. Its filthy as well.

Apparently Virginia is the last state to offer electricity to its citizens?

JK dude. Looking forward to seeing pics. I'd never heard of avons, but apparently they are comparable to kuhmos? I have riken raptors (bfg) on my car and like them.

Avon is a British brand, but owned by Cooper Tires.

I have driven on them and they are fine.

Took some pictures. Wheels and tires though they did not come out as clear as I wanted. Well, still working on the car. That said, I replaced the instrument cluster and steering wheel as well. Took a picture of that mess. My instrument panel in the digital part was real dim. Over the winter, I had bought a new cluster. The steering wheel had cracks and scratches all over the top and sides. replaced that as well.

Finally, several months back, I started a post on floor mats which were contrasted to the interior, reflecting the outside color of the car. I took a picture of my Lloyd mats that are a match to the exterior of the car (Polo Green) and have the interior color edging, tan. Take a look. Its a personal thing. You might not like it, I kind of do since its not what I see all the time. I did not opt for embroidery either as I know its a Corvette. Again, a personal issue with no comments on what others have done. The only thing that I am curious about is that the mats do not have a plastic heel pad.

Nice looking wheel and tire combo!

I would need to see the mats in person before I comment.

Those are the Cray Manta's. They also make the Scorpion which is actually shown on their website. Only, the barrel says TSW and the boxes say "Made in China". I hope its only the boxes and not the wheels...nah! But the Fikse wheels didn't interest me and they're too expensive. (I think the Fikse are US made, at least the Avon's are US made)

On the mats, its an individual thing. I just didn't want what I saw everywhere else. I may be penalized where others say...yuck!, but I'm good with them. Lloyds mats overall are quality.

I wrestled with the new seat tracks and the electrical connections to all that. Got them in, rerouted plugs, etc. My lumbar stuff still isn't working 100% but since I got the new center switch, the pump at least turns on and tries to air up. I wonder if some of the bladders are damaged.

Also, found out the horn isn't working...now I've got to take that air bag off again...groan!

Did it work before? If not I'd check the horns themselves first, they rust on the inside and stop working.

Nice 68(?) in the avatar, Bruce!

Matthew, the horn was weak and squawking, but the buttons worked. Now it doesn't though the plastic rectangles in the steering wheel on the original were cracked and broken. Those are the contact points you press when you hit the horn on the air bag.

The new wheel had the contact points intact in the rectangular plastic but now its not working. There's also a spring thing on a wire you stick into the steering column that might be the issue. I may not have it in its sleeve correctly...groan.

That airbag is a pain to put in, trying to align those four screws.
