As a way to say hello I was going to share my automotive links with the forum.
After downloading just the automotive ones to disk I noticed I've got 750 of them! No html or txt attachments allowed. So do I just start posting them? |

I think that if you were to post 750 links, it would take you a long long time and take up a lot of room. Why not just post the ones that you think are the most beneficial. If it were me, I'd limit it to ten.
Or if it's possible, post a link that will take you to a website that hosts the 750 links. |

I can put it up on my "other forum" website.
But the last time I hotlinked a page, they decided to make it my default page I really just want to give it to the "powers at be" so they can add whichever links they want. It's a great reference tool. |

Hmm. I'm not easily impressed. Show us what you got.
Can't you just copy paste? Will the forum automatically turn them into links? Lets test it out. www.google.com |

Brian,
I can throw together a hosted page with your links on it if you like I might not ge able to get to it for a week or so, but I'll work at it and see what comes of it. Then you can always link to that one URL Don |

I would like to suggest that we try to avoid linking to CF pages as much as possible.
If this place is largely a conduit to existing tech information over there, then that reduces further the already miniscule chances of this place supplanting that one as a primary source of C4 tech info. Most of the time, you should be able to summarize the relevant tech info from a thread over there and add to a FAQ over here. Not only does it provide content here, but most of the time there is value-added by the summarization. The time to link would be, for instance, when there is a significant personal report from someone who is not a member over here and whose knowledge is not common. An example that comes to mind are the posts from the guy who was an engineer on the C4 ESC system describing the LTx knock modules. Even in that case, I'd quote the information from the CF thread, and then just provide the link as a reference, rather than providing only the link so the reader has to go over there to read it. |

Thats a pretty good list!
Let me talk to bogus and maybe we can come up with a link page of our own using your links. |

I finally figured out the convoluted mess I need to go through to make an AOL homepage last night.
I added a webpage for the links. http://members.aol.com/swiftwood/auto_bookmark.htm |
