Don, my Royals can get it done when we need to. Hopefullywe can get it done again tonight.

Ken, Corsa Performance has an outstanding manufacturing facility, I've toured it about 5 years ago.

There may be some help out there for him. Depends!

One thing I have said in the past and I feel in my case it will come true. I hope to never live so long as to end up in assisted living. I believe one night I will drift off in a medicated sleep never to awake. I have watched sick people starved and dehydrated till death. I have seen the neglected care they recieve in institutions. People lying and just waiting to die. I never, ever want to go through that. I don't think I will but you never know. It's not like we have a lot of choices.

Good morning to all. Anyone here planning on attending the Vettes on the Rockies event, July 31 - Aug 3? Should be fun

How is the car running? Any headway on the a/c overheating problem? Even with the new trans cooler/fan I'm still experiencing the high temps, although they seem more stable now.

I80 is closed west bound 10 mi out of Reno because of a mud slide.

It rained at the house for 5 min. yesterday cause I washed the 92.

It rained here today cause I washed the Silverado.

Supposedly north of Reno it was raining an inch in a half hour.
There's flash flood warnings on the TV every hour.
Not a worry for my house though.

It better stay dry at the racetrack tomorrow or I'll be pissed.

Hi Matt, Funny you should ask. So far things seem to be a little better after my going through and changing out the cooling system, back to the stock new radiator, a 180 hi flow Robert Shaw thermostat, new fluids (distilled water + super cool), etc. Did I mention how I spent a couple of thousand with a corvette specialist shop to resolve some of my issues but didn't. When I decided to take this problem on myself, within 3 months of them working on my car I found: the shop never changed the thermostat which they charged me for when they replaced the water pump (which was showing signs of leaking) and "flushed out the system" - what a crock of BS, never happened or more correctly wasn't done well. When I pulled out the 3 core radiator (which doesn't have a drain plug in it - WTF) the goop that came out of it was just that - about a gallon of thick crap that literally came out of the radiator in big globs - unbelievable. I think I'm just tired of what seems to be throwing money at others to solve my problems and then finding out they really don't do what I'm paying for. You cannot believe how grateful I am for this site and all the help and information that is available here .

Anyway, the car is running really well right now, certainly more stable. I've taken it into the mountains, pretty heavy pull going up but no big temp problems. A few days ago I spent couple of hours in heavy traffic and didn't have any big issues, however; I did turn off the a/c at 215 degrees in stop and go traffic a couple of times, and this was with the outside temp around 100 degrees. Before this would be a killer heat situation - engine temps pushing 240+ . Presently I'm relooking at possibly adding one of Greg Carroll's water/alcohol injection systems for further help. I still may have to replace the headers or wrap them to get some more heat out of there.

I have been curious about how you're doing with heat. Wondering how the transmission cooler you installed is affecting your temps. It's setting exactly where my big intercooler sits, just a couple of inches from the front of the radiator. Certainly cuts down the air flow, and a low speeds you know what's happening on these bottom feeders - temps go up. You eliminated the front auxiliary fan which I’m sure is also affecting you. These temp thing are challenging .
