Under the hood there is a plate with a Corvette symbol, next to Bowling Green, KY. I have seen on other cars this is a Molbil 1 label. Does anyone know the difference. My car is a '92.

they didn't do the Mobil 1 plate in 1992. It was a year or 2 later.

the plate you are referring to is the "made in" plate.

Yep, that is the plate. I was wondering because my '92 came with Mobil 1. I like the Bowling Green one better.

The guy I bought mine believed in a brandx, and so that is what was in the car. It has 140k, so I didn't want to switch. I think it is best to keep running the same. Until I rebuild the motor.

IIRC the Bowling Green plate was used from 84- early 93 and the Mobil-1 from late 93-96.
