Good Morning CGs!

Well it's supposed to be 62* here today and in the 70's the next couple days. Wow I'm ready for it. Also, today is my Friday, so I get to enjoy some nice weather on my days off. I hope to get some work done on the car! I picked up most everything I need at the store so that might motivate me.

My mom had a big surgery yesterday. Everything went well, though. Dad was a bit nervous because it took so long, but the doctor said it's ok. Should have about a 6 week recovery period, but the first 2 weeks or so are the hardest.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

My hopes for a speedy recovery for your mother. My wife goes for surgery on both her feet tomorrow morning. I have my nurses uniform pressed and ready for when I get home. Some important phrases to remember are "Yes dear!" "I'll be right there." and "Is there something else I can do for you?" Patience with the patient is a must.

Well, I got home to a weak battery in one of the 911s a weak battery in the 91 Corvette (from my wife trying to start it at Walgreens). She had the vette towed home so it was waiting for me in the driveway. The first thing I did was put a full charge on both cars. I let the 91 sit overnight as the charger has an automatic shut off. Fired up both cars before I even had my morning coffee. Alarm systems are nice but they draw down the battery and sometimes my cars don't move for a couple of weeks. Now the troubleshooting begins on the 91. I'll save that for C4 Tech.

As usual, I have a full day ahead but I know I have to do the most important things first. That's why I'm here. Have a great day everyone and remember " If you don't do it, it probably won't get done.

Ditto! I would imagine the sight of Tommy in a nurse's uniform would scare anyone back on their feet in a hurry ;-)

Looking forward to hearing about the book, Don - sounds very cool!

Supposed to be 70 today and 78 tomorrow - I need to make sure to put my screw gun in the Vette so I can pop the top

Morning guys...Ditto on the get well wishes. Tommy, I hate those issues with batteries, usually when I get one that has done that to me I give it one chance, then replace it. Don, that sounds like a neat book. Me, just another day at school, then this afternoon I have a meeting with my financial adviser, who is going to help me fill out my retirement paperwork. I turned my letter of resignation in yesterday. Kind of tough to do, but in my mind I know it's the right thing. Down to 45 days.

38 days left. Letter has to be in by April 30. Engineers were in my shop this morning taking measurements figuring out how to make 3 classrooms. Even though the offer to stay one more year sounds good, I need a break. time to move on. We are truly an inner city school with all the bs that goes with it. Stats 26 homocides of our students in 8 years, 9 rapes, 100% free lunch,, 88% of our students single parent, 61% of our kids read on a 6th grade level, 12 firearms in school in 4years. Its time! I have a better chance of getting killed here then in Vietnam. Don't mean to rant.

Ron, I don't have any where near those kinds of issues to deal with, if I did, there'd be no doubt about my decision.

Greetings, Gurus!

Get well wishes all around!

I teach professional adults, and that gets tricky. I can't imagine being a teacher to high school students - you guys are amazing.

I've got a couple phone meetings today, then I'm off to run some errands.

It's become dreary overcast outside. They say it's supposed to rain this week, but we'll see.

A little girl asked her Mom, "Mom, may I take the dog for a walk around the block?

Mom replies, "No, because she is in heat." "What's that mean?" asked the child.

"Go ask your father. I think he's in the garage." The little girl goes to the garage and says, "Dad, may I take Belle for a walk around the block? I asked Mom, but she said the dog was in heat, and to come to you."

Dad said, "Bring Belle over here."

He took a rag, soaked it with gasoline, and scrubbed the dog's backside with it and said, "Okay, you can go now, but keep Belle on the leash and only go one time around the block." The little girl left, and returned a few minutes later with no dog on the leash. Surprised, Dad asked, "Where's Belle?"

The little girl said, "She ran out of gas about halfway down the block, so another dog is pushing her home."

Hope all goes well Matthew & Tommy.

Just did the Lt1 valve cover gaskets, that was fun.

I like the racecars way better, a valve cover acn be pulled in 30 seconds.

And the damn county shut the water off without telling anyone a couple of minutes ago, right after I turned the shower on, of course.
It took 4 guys to shut it off, one guy to turn the valve and 3 guys to stare at the hole.

Those crazy Washoe County water guys! =)

Well, I was dressed for cool and overcast, but when I went to run my errands, it was hot! I had to turn on the a/c in the Jeepers.
