Good Morning CGs!

Yes, VB, I don't normally wake up at midnight to start the daily chat threads So looks like you are the winner today. I did have to change your title, though

Not much goin on here. Stopped by the neighbor's last night to have a beer. Haven't been able to make it over there in a while. My cousin also stopped by along with my wife and daughter and we all chit-chatted for a couple hours and had a few snacks. Was nice. Not quite as bad as last time (about 6 months ago) when I was walking home sideways

Our second sprinkler guy never showed up yesterday. Apparently he called my BIL and let him know, though, because he was apparently very busy. That's ok, I realize these things happen. It's not so bad, though, because our neighbors want front sprinklers, too, so we might do a big package quote like suggested earlier.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good mawnin. We were sitting home last night watching The Gangs of New York when we got a call. Our stepson had been involved in an accident nearby and the offending party fled. (Hit and run). Fortunately there were no injuries. It appears the guy pulled over about 100 feet away. My stepson started walking to the other guys vehicle. When he was about 1/2 way the guy took off. We searched around the surrounding neighborhood for the damaged vehicle to no avail. We like to do some of our own police work around here. Found that the gas station where the guy came from had 7 cameras. He must be on that video. Called the local law enforcement agency to inform them. The station won't release those videos to just anyone. Will the cops get the video? Maybe, maybe not. Will they pursue this ? Maybe, maybe not. There was only a few thousand dollars damage and they have insurance. The public service aide filled out an accident report. They have public service aides here to free up trained officers to do other police work. Police response here is generally slow and unless it involve crimes of violence don't expect much. It's best if you are well prepared for a potential emergency. Now, if we were to track down the vehicle, police would show up and evaluate then scene. They get a little antsy when you call them and say you've found the perp.
In away I guess I can understand why the other guy fled. You see, my step son is about 6'1 and 260 lbs. The flight instinct could have easily kicked in seeing him walking toward the car. Either way, the hit and run driver is a scumbag.

Whoa, glad to hear your stepson is OK, Tommy!

After waking up stiff and sore, I have decided that what I need is a pillow-top garage floor. Rolling around on the floor just ain't what it used to be.

Man not much action here today. I've been busy all day. Just got back from the in-laws about 8:30pm. Was a beautiful day, too bad I didn't get to spend much time outside. Oh well.

Brad, did you get the Corsa installed?
