Good Morning CGs!

Well, I've been watching the UPS tracking site like a hawk waiting for my fuel pump. It's supposed to arrive today. Usually my UPS deliveries are before noon, so I hope it gets here. I also ordered a new O2 sensor last night off ebay to put a heated sensor in my car, looks like it will be necessary. While I was at I started ordering random other crap...I need to stop being on the internet so late! This is what I ordered from amazon:

storage cabinet

I've wanted one for a while and I checked out the stack-on ones they sell at home depot/sears, etc and they were total crap. This is supposed to be better. For some reason, little things like this make me happy

Other than that I'm gonna try to tinker with the pool today and have to run some errands. I also feeling like getting in a heavy weight workout today. Awesome.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

The only problem with those is having to spend 2 weeks sorting thru 38 coffee cans full of nuts, bolts, screws and "what the hell is this" things.

I do a major coffee can sort once every 5 years and I still have to drive down to HD on just about every project.

I have tried and have both the cabinets and coffee cans. I still can't find anything and wind up going to the store

Afternoon gurus.....

Been working on the counter top job that I started a couple weeks ago, they had to have an electrician come move a couple of boxes. Now I can finish up. While I was there today they want me to do a couple of other small jobs, so, one thing leads to another.

Two ball games tonight...it's going to be hot, it's already 103.

I try to keep things organized, but always end up with multiple coffee cans too, and like you guys end up at the hardware store on most jobs.

Everyone have a good day.

I have a couple of those type cabinets and I've never labelled the draws and sometimes put bits in the wrong draw. so I end up sliding all the drawers out, one at a time, to see if I've got something in the wrong place .

Then I do the same as Bill and end up at the store .

Aint it always the way that you find what you think you've lost the day after you buy a replacement

Hell, I have 3 sets of the 4 tier steel shelves, a set of 4 lockers from a high school and a 8 ft. parts bin with shelves and drawers. And a 10x10 storage building.

And, I still can't find the chit I need.

And, there's always only one sq.ft. of wokkspace left on the work bench.

I have saved up about 20 to 30 Folgers see through plastic instant coffee containers. I put boxes or bags of like items in them. I have trays sorted to nuts, bolts, washers, electical fittings, nails, etc. Then I have some boxes of stuff I haven't gone through yet. Some 5, some 10 years old. Funny thing is I know where to look to find something. Of course I have dried up tubes of Nail It, contact cement, plumbers putty, joint compound, and leftover paint cans. I keep a foot path open to get to my toolbox and storage bins. The shed is one of my I'll get to it one of these days projects. I dig in and trash stuff every couple of years except fot what's in those boxes.

The time required to trash up the garage/shed is equally proportional to the number of pickup loads you take to the dump.

I.E. one p/u load equals one year.

7 years ago, I cleaned the garage and took 5 pickup loads to the dump. My "open footpath" has shrunk enough that I have to hop on one foot.

Its called "STUFF" I built a 12 x 20 Annex(sounds better then shed) with 8' walls and 8 1/2" pitch roof for even more storage next to the three stall garage that matches the house. Its full. I.E. Hub caps from my 1961 409 Chevy Impala from high school.
random car parts, lawn equipment and welding equipment.
My wife just smiles anymore when walking throught the garage and makes a comment that I need professional help.
