Good morning Guru's. Couldn't sleep so I thought I would kick things off. Speaking of kick off's my son's team had a 74 to 18 beat down last night by a top ten ranked team in the State. It was hard to watch. Ultraboy is only a sophmore so did not get a lot of playing time which may be a blessing. It was hard to find anything positive to say to him. He did have a couple of good tackles when he did get in so I focused on that. Tough lessons!

There is a car show here today and of course the weather may be crummy. I thought I would put the 90 in it. I cleaned up the engine bay as best I could. It all looks good except those valve covers. I am putting new ones on this winter so am not going to worry about it.

You guys have a nice weekend! The Huskers will be playing at Washington this afternoon so we will see what we got.

Hello everyone. I was getting a case of the " poor me's " when I kicked in the old " look how lucky I am " state of mind. Life can be good but sometimes your thoughts try to sway you differently. A different perspective can give you a whole new approach. I've got everything I need to have a great day today. So, I'm off to have a wonderful day ............. The sun is shinin, the birds are singin and I've got more than enough to keep me busy today, tomorrow and the day after that. Have a good weekend.

Good Morning CGs!

Well, after finally making it home last night (rough day at work) the wifey and I went out to dinner....just the two of us....to a nice restaurant. It was very enjoyable to have an evening alone. Then we did a little shopping afterwards, bought a new double stroller and some odds and ends.

Today my goals are to run, clean the garage, maybe change the trans filter, and get some chemicals to close the pool. After that the wife wants to go to the casino for a couple hours. OK, no problem. I'm gonna enjoy my weekend.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Funny, I'm cleaning my garage too.

The casino thing sounds good, I'll hit mine late this afternoon.

Greetings! It looks like the sun is trying to peek through the clouds, don't know how successful it will be. #1 son is coming over in a bit to have me look at a couple things on his car. Later we're going to a friend's 30th anniversary party. I'm hoping that the Goofers don't get trounced 74-18, but it wouldn't be unprecedented.

Enjoy your Saturday!

I do not know why, but I have this sudden urge to go clean my garage. Not to worry, I fought off the impulse and am relaxing watching Arkansas hand it to Georgia.

Hey guys, I got up early this morning to go to my #2 grandson's football game, they won 7-6. He didn't play too much. After returning home I headed over to the "city" and ended up trading pickups. I now have an 09 crew cab Silverado LTZ. More money than I had originally intended to spend, but it's almost new with just 18K. I have been cleaning it up (to my standards). I am headed for church now. talk to you later.

Sounds nice to me. We love our 2005 Silverdo Crew Cab. I like it so much I wanted one for me. Don't think I didn't look. My wife said we don't need another pick up. Why don't you look for an SUV? Been looking at them too. Good thing I'm not in a hurry. My 99 Yukon runs well. One day I hope to run into a deal I can't refuse. Until then I'll enjoy zero monthly payments.

Sorry guys, I've been busy detailing it. Bill, it's got the 5.3 and a 6 speed auto trans. The thing runs about 1700rpm @ 70mph should get pretty good gas mileage. Also it has the active fuel management which basically will shut off 4 cylinders when the extra power isn't needed. I just got it, sort of, clean up to my standards. I'd take some pictures, but the wife took the camera with her to KC to visit the grandkids there. Maybe I'll run down to school tomorrow and grab my school camera and take some shots....OK that's what I'll do. In the mean time, it's white with a very pale tan leather interior....very classy looking....until I get in, and then it just looks like another pickup.
