Bastet44 and I started the SoCal Social over at CF several years ago.

Now that we have a larger membership base, and quite a few SoCal members, it's time for a good old fashioned SoCal Social!

The other reason? Steves40th is in town! He is in San Diego for a coupe of weeks or so before heading back to Pearl, so, we need to get a gang together.

Since Steve is in SD, we will be skewing this event a little south, so that we can be central for more people. I am thinking the Irvine area.

Date/Time and location are still be discussed, but I wanted to get the word out for the gang, so we can get something organized.

I am thinking a Saturday affair would work best, and might fit Steve's schedule best. Bastet has jury duty all week, so weekends would make it easier.

Steve - I will call you tomorrow and we can figure something then.

Oh, I am out of town for a few days, 20 Jan thru 24 Jan.

We will nail this down, but first, lets get the SoCal group to show some Guru Spirit!

I will also do a mail blast, but only after things are a little more settled.

I am thinking Sunday... We have a family outing planned for Saturday night.

I would love to attend. I live up on Riverside County but, driving is not a problem.

We need to do an East Coast get together and a Mid West Get together too!

No question, Don. And that is the EXACT reason why I am pushing for ZIP Code capture. We can notify people by region as we organize these things.

Depending on time, I would love to make it to some of non-west coast events, too.

Ok... I talked to Steve today. We are not sure, but we are aiming at Sunday, 5:30pm (1730 for you military types!).

He may have another committment, which means our fallback date is Tuesday, we will pick a later time to beat traffic a bit, 6:30 or 7:00.

Regardless, we have picked a central-ish location between LA and SD - The Fuddruckers in Lake Forest!

It was great to catch up, see PLRX's 96 - that is a SWEET ride! And for Nelson to regail us all in that lovely music only an uncorked 496 can play... and play for miles, it seems!

Is always great to meet and chat face-to-face with Corvette owners, specially C4 owners. Chow was good and lots of interest topics specially "the butane AC"!!

I wish I live closer, driving home was tough.
