I got my bulbs two days after I ordered and the mailman had me sign for it. Wow, so I was guaranteed my parts. I open the box and I got general electric 882 bulbs and THEY ARE MADE IN THE USA. It was printed twice on the box made in USA.
My old bulbs were cheapos made in China.....Wow, Rockauto.com is AWESOME! Definatley ordering more parts from them. But yea, I was shocked that they are USA made. Gahh, you hardly see that anymore. Not even AC Delco does that anymore. Made in Mexico but more in China... |

It's probably because the inventory is so old, there's not much demand for those bulbs, which is why they're not stocked anywhere. Some of those bulbs at the parts stores have identical packaging and part numbers but are made in different countries too.
With that said, Rockauto generally carries good brands so you have the choice at least. With local parts stores it's always their good or gooder off=shore part. On my last order they mixed up some spark plug part numbers, but were quick to call me back and correct it when I emailed. I've called them to check inventory before and a HUMAN BEING picked up the phone. Amazing. |
