Howdy!
My wife came home yesterday after working the weekend at the Asian Festival. She sells lots of plants at these type events. I worked around the back yard trimming trees and extracting a couple of small trees that were growing where they shouldn't. I did some other outside work too. I was fairly beat by the end of the afternoon. Wifey then asked me what do you have planned for tomorrow. I told her I have work lined up for the next couple of months. Not exactly the answer she was looking for. She needs me to help her out today. She has alot of work that needs to be done.Getting prepped for a couple big jobs, customers coming in, bringing one of he kitties to the vet to get his nuts clipped and the pump man is coming to set up a new pump and pressure tank at the second nursery. Ya I'm gonna go help her. That's just the way it is. I'm forecasting my couple of months work should be finished just about the time I have to start doing the same shit all over again. Selling everything and getting a two bedroom, 2 bath condo with a view sounds more and more appealing every year that goes by. Pay the monthly maintenance, hire a cleaning lady and be done with it. The only problem is my wife would climb the walls looking for something to do. Me, not so much.

Good Morning CGs!

I was pretty beat last night...been a long week. Decided to go to bed early and actually accomplished that. Of course, rugrat #2 had different ideas between midnight and 1 am. I guess he had some sort of gas or indigestion and was just fussing for an hour. Tried to soothe him, cycling legs, etc, didn't work. He just needed some time, I guess. Eventually fell back asleep but made my wife miserable and I was up for most of it. Still feel ok this morning, though. Glad I went down early.

My injectors should be on the way to GA right now via US mail. Hope that Jon doesn't find any problems with them and everything goes smoothly. I don't anticipate any problems, but Murphy's law always gets me!

Tomorrow is supposed to be nice weather...maybe a trip to the zoo with the kids?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Speaking of a nights rest. We went out for Chinese last night. Something must not have been right in China. Around 12:30 AM .....................

Hola! The alarm clock was a most unwelcome sound this morning, and there was no breakfast by the ocean. We were greeted by a nice, sloppy inch of snow when we came home last night, though. Ick.

Good Morning. Filling out paper work for retirement. I've been here twice before, thinking and evaluating retirement. I feel 99% sure this time, its time to move on. Just think no more gangbangers, mofo, and fights. I've been asked to stay on to teach Vocational Welding and a CAD class at night.
Wow this harder than I thought, my shop will close and wood shop will meet the fate like machine, auto and electronics shops.
My wife has booked a stay and flight to Nappa Valley in California and on to Maui on the premise of my retirement. Cool!
Well guys need to finish up this paper work and check on my students, they are project planning for their next project.

Napa Valley, great place. I go there for the racetrack.

I've been to many of the wineries, an added benefit when I race there.

Highly recommended: The Napa Valley Wine Train - great tour on the train with gourmet food & wine.

ARE YOU KIDDING? Asking me to eat Chinese is like yogurt therapy, except it only takes about 2 hours instead of 2 weeks! And whats up with that B!tch in the yogurt commercials? Who'd be happy about being regular at 12:30am!?
Good Luck Tommy.Drink lots of water today.

Nice weather was fleeting at best over the weekend. Sat am Thought we'd get out for a ride and a nice breakfast somewhere. Well, that idea flopped we got almost 2 inches of rain. What a weekend!

Afternoon guys...it's been a busy day, again. I'm looking forward to spring break. I have a ton of work to do and only a few hours a day to get all the "extras" done. It's cold here today, below freezing and wind blowing 20+mph.

Ron, fill out the paper work and give them the "shove it" gesture. We have a mexican food place that does that too me. Usually in less than an hour. Yogurt doesn't do that to me though, and I eat the stuff that's supposed to. :shrug Welcome back to reality Brad.

Had a nice drive in the Corvette yesterday 2 1/2 hours up and 2 1/2 back, with time for a nap while the wife went to the bridal shower.

Excellent idea. By the way Ron, In semi-retirement, a nap is a fringe benefit.

Before we left on our trip, I grabbed a couple of magazines at Barnes & Noble. One of them was Rodder's Journal - I'd never read one of those before, and it's kinda spendy. But I enjoyed it a lot - some very cool old cars and stories, and great pics.

Rodder's Journal? Was that published by Larry Flint?

I don't have a dog. All the neighborhood dogs come over to my house to play, I don't even have to feed em.
