"Because of the many action-adventure shoot-em-ups on the schedule, critics and concerned parent groups were asking aloud - is television programing responsible for our increasingly violent society? Playwrite Arthur Miller publically decried TV fare, "...whose brutality is photographed in sufficiently monstrous detail.""

I still watch Hogan's Heroes. It's on one of the local digital channels. That and MASH. Great shows.

I guess TV wasn't a priority in '67 for this then 18 year old. The Saint, Mannix, Jackie Gleason.
Disney was a staple at our house from day one.
My late sister had a crush on "Little Joe", Michael Landon from Bonanza. I teased her mercilessly.

Lol. Do you remember when he was on "highway to heaven?" We used to watch that when I was a kid.

Oh yeah, and my eldest got her name from Melissa Sue Anderson from "Little House on the Prairie" also starring Landon.

Ahh..1967 the year I graduated from high school (the same high school I teach at now). Sports, pizza, girls, girls, cars, girls, big boobs, food, short attention span back then! boobs, opps! still have short attention span. If I only knew then what I know now! The year I blew up my 409, almost got kicked out of school for riding my Triumph Bonneville down the hallway a week before graduation, saw my girl friends boobs, started reading about Vietnam, wore a speedo underneath my graduation gown. What the hell was wrong with me! Maybe thats why I relate so well with the kids.

Hahaha! A few years after that, a buddy got kicked out of school for driving his MG Midget in the halls - LMAO!

A good trip down memory lane. We need some westerns.

I liked the John Wayne Westerns. Too busy playing with cars after school when I was a kid to watch much TV. First movie I saw with my girl friend(now my wife) was Thunderball! She thought James Bond was a sexist!, didn't know what that meant! I thought she wanted It! Damn was I wrong!

2 years after: I blew up my 348. The parking space for bikes was an undercover area. Funny it was right next to the windows into detention. My 305 Scrambler had open pipes, so did the Trimph's & BSA's.
Those windows really rattled, it's a wonder we didn't break them.
