Good Morning CGs!

Well I'm up and at 'em already. Wife woke me to help with the baby for a minute and that was it for me. Oh well. It's my regular time to get up so no biggie. Went downstairs and looked in the fridge, this it what I saw:

Resized Image

Guess it's time to go shopping, huh?

Actually, the wife and I were at Target (that's Tarjaaaay....if you say it "French" it's more fancy) last night picking up a few items. I was in the TV section because we have been looking for a new tv to replace the one in our bedroom that burnt out. I wanted a 26" lcd but the smaller classes never seem to go on sale, only the big ones. Well, I walked by a Samsung 32" lcd that had a clearance sticker on it. It was $400 marked down to $327. So I convinced my wife it was a good idea to buy it. Unfortunately, there were none left. I asked the sales girl, she said the display was the last one. I asked to buy it, and she said ok. I asked her what the discount was for the floor model so she rang it up. It dropped it down even more...228 dollars. Holy crap, are you kidding me? So I snatched it right up. I also bought the 3 yr warranty for an extra $30 (worth it for a floor model, I think). With our Target card, we got an extra 5% off at checkout, too. I think it was the deal of the year for me, almost half off a LCD tv. This is the one we bought:

http://www.target.com/Samsung-Class-720p-60Hz-HDTV/dp/B0036EH186

I'll set it up later this morning. Other than that, just hanging around the house today doing a few miscellaneous chores.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

That kind of stuff never happens to me Matt. Congrats.

Yesterday was a keen reminder that I'm not 20 anymore. Laid around the house wasting the day away.

It was raining and snowing on the way to work this morning.

Have a great day gurus!

We had a very nice family day with the inlaws. Went to a school carnival, cruised in the 91 Vert, went over to mom and pops house. They had a little game of volleyball in the pool while I read the Sunday paper and perused a boating mag and two car and drivers while I kept an eye and ear on a movie. We ate a nice chicken dinner then all sat down to watch Mildred Pierce on HBO.
We supplied most of the plants that were used on that set. Sent up 2 semis and a few overnight shipments that were bought by one of their purchasing agents. My wife was working feverishly when Andy and Tamiza came to town. She had to get all that stuff organized, loaded and on it's way. They had to settle for a quick office visit that time. As a viewer you wouldn't really pick up on the plants but we knew what we were looking for so it was kind of a game for us.
Today I am expecting the paperwork to come in on the 928. Have to get crackin on that. Tomorrow I up and out early. We have a big 2 day job at a brand new BBQ restuarant opening in Miami. The doctor that owns it is a native plant buff. He's building the place with a country setting not far from the heart of the city. It should be a diamond in the rough when it's done. I have to try and remember to take some before and after shots of that one.
Just got a call ...................

Nice deal on the TV, Matt! I don't know what I'll do when our bedroom TV craps out - we have an armoire that our current set fits in like a glove, had to do plenty of measuring to find just the right one.

It's supposed to start warming up a bit this week - last year at this time, it was in the 70's. We might hit 50 now. Wheeeeee! Gotta pick up a few miscellaneous things for the Vette, and get a pipe expanded on one of the Magnaflow cats I bought - it is a little too small for the slip fit.

Have a good Monday, yawlz!

We saw 91* here yesterday. Please ....... Please ..... It's way too early for that. Summers here are long and hot enough as it is. My favorite temp range is a 65* low and a 77* high with low humiidity. There are just never enough days like that.

Good Morning Gents...

What a baaagain on the TV Matt! I'd like to run across something like that too.
Tommy - Sounds like business is good. It must be nice to have that great Corvette cruising weather year round. It was colder than a witches you know what this morning here. Its supposed to be spring, but old man winter is still holding on.

I got to make another order to RockAuto sometime today for some odds and ends. This weekend I wrapped up some car chores like finished installing the shocks, R&R the break rotors and cleaned the calipers and scuffed up the rotors to make them like new. The pads and rotors look like new, hardly can tell they have any mileage on them. I also removed the speed bleeders and reinstalled standard bleeders so I can use my nifty Motiv Pressure bleeder in the future. I think I will have things worked out to pick up the motor either by Wednesday or on Saturday. Thursday and Friday I will be in Georgetown with Kathy in the evenings at the hospital. She is going over on Thursday morning for some test and an MRI and spending the night Thursday night for some more tests on Friday.

Have a nice day!

Did you order their racing catalog?

I buy all my AN bolts for the racecars from them.

Good morning, cold and cloudy here. When have I not said that? Matt, good deal on the TV. I love a good deal. TB glad you made it home safe, that's a long drive no matter what the weather. Bill when your done with it send that weather on over here.

Tommy, it's an interesting life that you guys lead. Someday I would like to come down and see what you guys do. I'm an agronomist so I have an interest in plant type things. Especially tropical.

Hey maybe today is the day my header will.......nevermind!

We are supposed to be doing our spring deliveries but it's freezing out and a lot of the chemical we sell can't freeze so we sit and wait. Then it gets all bunched up with everyone wanting their stuff at the same time. Farmers are not the most patient types when it comes time to plant.

Let's get rolling today, as we used to say in Montana, let'er buck!

Morning guys....I can tell I've been off for a week, things are crazy this morning.

Matt, I've run across those deals a few times, but that was a good one. Tommy, you talk about me being busy...wow. Don, keep us posted on the progress. Marcus, your weather sounds like ours, but it is supposed to improve throughout the week. And yes, I've always said farmers are the worst people to try and satisfy. When it's not raining they want rain, when it rains they wish it would be dry....never satisfied. Hopefully your header will be delivered today. Bill, those tops aren't there yet? Brad, get that thing done, it will be time to drive before long.

I've decided that I need to help my tax situation some and I'm going to contribute more to my 457 account, from my teaching salary. Hopefully that will help me this year (2011) on taxes.

Sounds like everyone else is keeping busy, too!

Now that the storms have past us, the wreckage is left to repair. What a mess it is.

Most people are coming out now and the phone has been ringing all morning.

SHould be a good week.

Husband Down

A husband and wife are shopping in their local Wal-Mart.
The husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in their cart.
“What do you think you're doing?” asks the wife.
“They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans” he replies.
“Put them back, we can't afford them” demands the wife, and so they carry on shopping.
A few aisles further on along the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket.
“What do you think you're doing?” asks the husband.
“It’s my face cream. It makes me look beautiful,” replies the wife.
Her husband retorts: “So does 24 cans of Budweiser and it's half the price.”

He never knew what hit him.

A woman goes to the doctor all black and blue ...

Doctor: "What happened?"

Woman: "Doctor, I don't know what to do. Every time my husband

comes home drunk he beats me to a pulp."

Doctor: "I have a real good remedy for that. When your husband

comes home drunk, just take a glass of sweet tea and start

swishing it around in your mouth but don't swallow. Just keep

swishing and swishing until he goes to bed in his drunken stupor."

Two weeks later the woman comes back to the doctor looking fresh

and reborn.

Woman: "Doctor, that was a brilliant idea. Every time my

husband came home drunk, I swished with sweet tea. I swished and

swished, and he didn't touch me!"

Doctor: "I'm not really surprised. You see how much keeping your mouth

shut helps?"
