Check this shizzle out. Spectator Racing leading the pack in the race last Sunday.
I qualified on pole (over ALL classes, including ST1 and SU which have at least 200 more HP than li'l old me) for Sunday's race because it rained in the morning It's always a good feeling when you beat the schmucks with ABS and traction control in the rain. Sadly, I couldn't maintain the lead, but I did hold off the entire field for 1 1/2 magical laps. You ain't never seen a C4 drivin like that! I felt like I was running from demons. Finally the big HP (500 - 600 RWHP) cars motored by me on the back straight in lap 2. My stupid video didn't work so nothing fun to watch. Some car issues with the winter overhaul and a boneheaded driver mistake put me in 4th at the finish, coulda been better but 4th out of 12 isn't bad. It just doens't come with new Hoosiers Attach file: April 2011 Sunday ST2.jpg (0.00 KB) |

Nice! It's hard to tell from the picture, but is your front bumper rather heavily modified? Looks like a large wraparound air dam and air inlets where the fog lights would be, for the brakes maybe? License plate area, is that an air inlet also?
Do you drive it on the street? |

The car is bone stock, garage kept, never raced...
Here's a closer view of the nose job. We made it a front breather instead of a bottom breather. The lower area is for the radiator, the smaller upper screen is the intake. The marker lights are inlets for brake cooling and an oil cooler. The whole thing is removable by taking out a couple of dzus fasteners and pins. Attach file: Pole position.JPG (0.00 KB) |

Atta boy! Do you think your new car will be able to compete a little better when you ruin it to go racing? Will it have 200 more horsepower?
LOL on your running from demons..... |

I tracked down a short video a couple of weeks ago from the yellow Viper (right in the middle of the first photo). The green flies at about 0:28, I get a love tap from the black Viper. Shortly after that we get away from the yellow car when he's blocked. Eventually you can see in lap 2 where the top three ST1 cars go by me on the long straight.
The second lap the yellow car catches up, I'm all over the place trying to get back around the black Viper. The three ST1 cars manage to pull away from me on the short straight in the back. Right at the end of the video watch the side step my car does...I had brake pedal issues which made heel/toe impossible and was trying to downshift without. Then you can see the power difference as the Viper blows by on the front straight... So, what was powering the white sports racer? A Briggs & Stratton?
