Wish I still had this one (personal issues made it disappear)
Quite the dog performance wise (L48, 4spd), but this bugger was fun to drive. Don't quite get the same feeling in the C4 (too open in the cockpit).

brut, what's with the headlights? Is that a kit, or were they fixed from the factory?

I thought the C6 was the first vette without pop-ups since the C1.

Welcome aboard Twin...I had followed your threads over at CF before you left. I just never followed you to DC! Great looking vette bro..hope you stick around!

Sorry I am late replying to those that have commented on my vettes....yes the headlights are a kit on the '71. They did not come that way from GM. Personally, I don't care for them much, but they came that way from the previous owner. It will cost bunches to get the pop-ups back in. That car will get a body-off before that happens though.

Right now, I still have the '76 up on stands. Getting ready to pull the motor more or less for cosmetic issues. I want to get at the fire-wall easily to clean and paint. But I am going to do a couple things to the motor like new heads and a gear drive.

Actually, no you shouldn't have. I think the last time I was there was probably 2 years ago, maybe a little less. I think I have a total of 3 posts there. It is a nice site though. Very well done. I stuck with CF at the time, but maybe I shouldn't have.

Welcome Big2bird! I did go over to DC to see if I could scope out my avatar...I didn't see it. If you all come across it again, please let me know, I would like to know who swiped it! Not that I mind someone using it, as long as they are not telling people that those are their vettes!

Wow, bunch of awesome C3s, love the big flairs, wide meats and sidepipes.

To the one with the caged car, is that a DN 5 spd?
Is the driveshaft angle causing ou any issue?

That's a S6-40 ZF 6 speed out of a 91 C4.

Driveline angles can be adjusted everything is custom (note protractor on rear of trans in one pic)

It's C5 leMans Blue with blue metal flakes in the clear - I painted it myself after a few silly and redicolous quotes from so called body shops.... (bought a HVLP gun, 60gal compressor, filter hose and small stuff, painted the Vette and saved $5000 in the process)

never painted a car before, never owned a paint gun.... motivation for those who think it's better left to the pros....
