Bought these off a guy on TGO.

They were Mega ported by Corvetteplenum.com

He didn't send all of the hardware but I will get some Stainless allens to match the rest of my stuff.

I like how they siamesed them 1 1/2" to 2" off the plenum... Should extend your top end power a bit.

Looks like a nice job. A lot more chopped away than my home done version

Matthew

PS - you can either make your own gaskets or get the Mr Gasket big tube runner gaskets - see my old post about that. Also, the allen cap bolts make install soooooo much easier.

Matthew, can I get those allen screws from somewhere or did you pick them up at a hardware store?

Do you still have the big runner gasket part #?

Thanks,
Jeff

The allen bolts were originally supplied by SLP. But you can get a set on ebay for around $30.

The Mr Gasket set is 146.

Thanks, just got the bolt kit off ebay. I will order the gasket set when I order the intake manifold gaskets.

I wonder if the runners will fit with my tall valve covers.

Mine fit the edelbrocks I have, but they aren't tall. It will probably make it harder to put the bolts in/tighten them with the valve covers on.

I keep missing stuff. Jeff what did you finally do for your engine choice? I gotta start looking for top end breathing parts also. Is SLP better than the TPiS stuff?

They look good Jeff!

Cool, doesn't look like a whole lot of gasket contact area left there.

I think once I get all the black RTV off there will be more contact area showing.

They have a blast cabinet at Mom's work, will it hurt the aluminum to sandblast the paint off?

I think bead blasting would give you a nicer finish but may be wrong. Sand can be more coarse. Something I remember from the old days. may not matter.

Won't "hurt" the aluminum (unless the operator doesn't know what he's doing, too much air press, staying on one spot,etc.).
Glass beads will leave a much better surface finish, plastic media would be even better.

A bead cabinet is one of the best things I have in my shop, cheap too.

I would be using the blaster. I think it's sand, it's been awhile since I worked there. They do mostly aluminum parts so it might be beads. I will check.

Otherwise I get to make a mess with paint stripper again.

You can get a 25 lb. bucket of glass beads for $25, if they would let you change it out (easy to do.

I missed your post, Sorry.

I found a guy near me that is building me a 355 from a 91 Vette block. I have an LT$ hotcam that he is going to install too.

The blast cabinet at mom's job is loaded with ceramic media that they use to texture aluminum. Don't think that I want to go that route. Time for some paint stripper. YAH!

If you haven't done it before, make sure the stripper is safe for alum.

Aircraft Stripper can usually be found around town.

I have a can of spray on stripper that I used to get the paint off my stock runners. I think there's still some left. It did a decent job.

I think I'm going to have to make my own gaskets on these.

Only because of the plenum to runner connection.

Got one runner and the plenum stripped last night then I ran out of paint stripper.

I started sanding down the plenum for polishing..Deja Vu because I just did the same thing to my original plenum.
