Putting stuff back up on the walls in my bar.

Thought I show some trophies that we used to give out at the shows.

My corvette club built these, it was a real PIA.
First we took down a very old corn silo. The silo was lined with black walnut. We had the walnut planed and shaped, then a team of 8 guys cut and assembled frames (along with mucho beer).

We had some mirrors silk screened and also has a bunch of real C2 emblems that we used for thr trophies.

We made over 100. The car show winners were blown away when they got them.

I am particularly impressed with the 1981 Perfect Attendance award. The patina on this original plaque graces it's age and in keeping it original can only help to increase it's value over time. The mirrored pieces are of historical significance. When layed flat they can be used with the introduction of powdered substances and razor blades.

Here is an important trophy I received in Oct 2008. The caption on the bottom says

Beat My Wife Today

October 26 2008

It is 100% real plastic imported from China with authentic custom made adhesive stickers.

Very Nice Bill! I'd like to do something sort of like that for our club today... Maybe a bit more modern looking but the same nonetheless.

Mason Dixon is still around. I know a couple guys in that club. I think they were NCCC for a while but let their association with NCCC lapse a few years back.

I think a trophy for beating your wife would not be worth the jail time.

All my trophies are cheap plastic (ecxcept one nice one for regional champ), but they do have cool flames on them.

That was on the autocross course Jon. I've only bettered her overall time a couple of times. She has 30 bhp more than I plus she's a damn good driver. Everybody wants us to swap cars and see what happens. When we've driven the same car I usually win. Take my word for it.

Tommy, Tommy, Tommy.....................
Hey, my daughter got the Middle School teaching job in Naples and moves down there Aug 2. It also looks like her hubby's company has a construction office there and he may be able to transfer instead of looking for work when he moves.
My wife and I will probably start trying to sell the house in June of 2012 and head for the Sarasota ares.
Tell me more about the topless beaches!

Ron, that means you should be house hunting right around the time of The Great Guru Gathering at Sebring. If you'll be in the Sarasota area you'll be bound to run into me. You can run but you can't hide. By the way, the Tampa, St Pete, Bradenton, Sarasota areas have pretty good car and bike appreciation. Car shows, gatherings, etc.
