Greetings! Dark, cold and dreary here - at least the temps are in the double-digits, better than I expected. Thankfully the days will start getting longer in a couple weeks - wheeeee!

Have a nice Toesday, everyone!

I have a dentist appointment scheduled for this afternoon. Nothing major. They're just going to take a tooth splitter and tighten it down till my back molar breaks in half. Then take out the tooth extractor and yank at the two halves till the root seperates from the jaw leaving a giant bleeding hole in my gums. Outside of that, nothing big planed for today. I hope he prescribes me some good drugs. When the numbness wears off I think I'm gonna need them.

We have ignition........now what?

4 degrees out this morning....I did plug in the Duramax. I also am running a 70 - 30 blend of #2 and #1 fuel...plus some Power Service fuel conditioner.....all of which Chevy tells us we shouldn't need to do......yeah right....I wouldn't get out of the driveway without using that as fuel.

Gotta go....back later....

Morning guys....I wish we were double digits, Brad. My thermo reads -2f. Wind chills must be don around -15 to -25. Not going to be a fun morning for kids walking between buildings. B-ball last night, GS's "winter concert" tonight, church tomorrow and Thursday and I'm sure something for Friday. Busy time of the year.

Gee, Tommy, that sounds like a delightful day! Hopefully you won't get an infected dry socket with bare nerves like my wife did years ago. A co-worker had a root canal yesterday, so you're in good company.

Man, it is nippy down in the heartland! The tundra sounds balmy by comparison ;-)

Marcus, Been there done that. Experience is the best teacher. I drove open forklifts on the flightline in negative degree wind chill temps. I think that's partly why I ache so much today. I remember being totally numb. Especially the hands, feet and Probably froze a couple million brain cells along with em. We had bigger closed forklifts too but they didn't have heaters. They just broke the wind.

Sun, sun, sun, sun.
Cold nights but I don't care, I'm sleepin'.

Temps are lower than normal but here, if it's 40, you can't ride in the car with a jacket on and the heat off without cracking the windows cause it gets too hot.

I'm giving serious thought to starting my spring cleaning today.

We'll see later if thought turns into reality.

Drove forklifts at the Pennsylvania Apple Packers, would go from inside the warm plant to outside winter temps every 5-10 minutes, sweat, freeze....sweat, freeze.

If the railroad dock has ice on it, it was a bitch to get stopped.

So much for trying to restore the 67's gas tank, 2 hours of scrubbing with steel wool, scotchbrite on a die grinder, etc.

Screw it, a new tank is $230 with the correct ni-terne plated steel. I'm not putting 40 hours into it.

Well, the tooth has been yanked out of my head. That unuaual ripping sensation always gets my attention as the tooth tries to hold on as the dentist applies that little bit of extra pressure to free it from the jaw. No druges so I guess he feels I should be able to handle it. I'll be glad it's gone by day 3 is my guess. I'm taking it easy for the rest of the day. Tomorrow a morning delivery then later escort an inspector to the three houses for a required home inspection for the insurance company.
