Good Morning CGs!

Well, it should be a good day today. I get to pick up my car from the exhaust shop. I'm excited to start driving it. Can't wait. Best part is that I start my mini-staycation today. Took some time off from work so I have six days off to work around the house, tinker with the car, and relax.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Fixed it for ya! There's no relaxing on staycation. You have a house, wife and kids. There will be plenty of time for relaxing in say ........ 30 years. Until then you can still dream.

Good morning, all!

Got all hyped up for Daytona yesterday and ...

drip, light rain, heavy rain

- now they're thinking they might have to push it back to Tuesday.

My wife asked this morning if I thought they should have run it with rain tires. I showed NASCAR a little sympathy: if a short track - probably, if a medium track - maybe, Daytona/Talladega - no! I don't even want to think what you would have to do to make a rain tire that could handle 3,400 pounds and a consistent 190 mph.

TV install story ..... I have a swiveling universal wall mount I bought for my 42" TV. The wall mount is heavy as hell made of surgical grade stainless steel. This mount is strong enough to support a person if mounted properly. Anyway, I took down the old TV with the help of my wife. That SOB is heavy. Easily over 100 lbs. The new set weighs in at about 44 lbs. Removed the frame to mount on the new TV. 6 small screws held the old set on. Looked at the back of the new set and of course it required n a larger screw size but needs only 4. Off to the shed. In my harware drawers I was only able to find 2 screws that fit. Then it hit me. I save stuff. I looked up at the rafters and there sat the table mount for my old TV and 2 larger sized mount brackets. Hhhhmmm. What did I do with the hardware? There on the shelf sat a box with accessories printed on the box. Bingo. I saved all the stuff from the first mount in it's original box. All the different screw sizes I could want were there. Saving stuff came through for me once again. No financial outlay other than the TV was needed. Just mount, plug in, hook up the cable and hit the ON button. Easy peasy. Having jars and boxes of crap lying around CAN be beneficial. Then again, there's a whole lotta s#!+ in there that I'll never need in a thousand years. I'll just leave it there for the poor bastard that has to clean up behind me.

One point I'd like to make. The NASCAR drivers think every track should be wide open and safe. When Homestead was first opened it was a quad oval. The drivers bitched moaned and complained that the quad design was unsafe. Why? Because the had to use the brakes. Come in too hot and bang, scrape, smash and of course "POW". They blamed the track. Couldn't be the driver.
If they had a set of rain tires they have to slow down for conditions, plus they'd need plenty of RAIN X on the windsheilds and of course the left side of their body would get totally soaked. Rainouts suck.

Sunny and 60 degrees today in the nations capital. Too bad I'm at work. Although, I did drive the Vette today.
Wish I could stay and play but I got to run. Chat later.

Bit of a down day here. High school about 45 minutes up the road went into lockdown this morning. Four kids shot in the cafeteria. No reports yet as to the extent of their injuries. Gunman is in custody, no ID yet.

On a brighter note, right after work I head to the Cleveland New Car Show.

Only 10 working days left til vacation starts ! Look out Sebring, here I come.

Morning (I think) guys....I feel like sh!t, but I'm at school. Thought I was over the hump Saturday, but yesterday afternoon, I started feeling bad again, didn't get much restful sleep last night. So my butt is dragging this morning. Head is hurting, sinuses running and full.

I hope everyone else has a much better day than I.

Some of you guys in rural areas may want to try this. If you have a weak signal from your antenna, cable or satelite this may strenghthen your signal considerably.

No doubt if I were to die and go to judgement there would be a little problem.

Judge: We seem to have a problem here with several million issues of coveting thy neighbors wife and coveting thy neighbors goods. What do you have to say for yourself?

Hola! I'll have to check my Powerball tickets when we get home. Meanwhile, the beverage service here is exceptional. The maid didn't look quite like Tommy's pic, but a peacock just strolled by, so it ain't all bad. I'm thinking I should buy a couple of sombreros for the beach tomorrow. We're staying here, really like it so far:
