Another day another fitty cent.

Good morning

What's going on today? I don't know yet. All I know is it's always somethin. Let's see what somethins get my attention today. I know I have to drop my S-10 off in about 20 minutes. After that I'll wait for the coffee to kick in and see what develops.

I posted this link yesterday about a popular fruit stand not far from my house. People come from all over to go there. You can learn a lot about South Florida fruits and vegetables by the items he stocks. Think tropical.

Good Morning CGs!

Up early with RR #2. He got up at 5:30 and wouldn't go back down. Damn it. He will be a terror later at the bowling alley. We are going to the bowling alley later with a small group of kids and some parents / cousins / etc to have a belated birthday celebration for RR #1.

Spent a bunch of time last night on the internet reading about R134a conversions. Although it's not that complicated, reading some stuff on the internet makes it seem that way. I dunno why. Too much misinformation out there I guess.

Tommy - what's wrong with the truck?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Really minor. Had the slave cylinder replaced a couple of weeks ago. The retaining clip that connects the clutch pedal to the slave slipped out last week and now it's making a clicking sound. Since we already paid him we'll let him check it out. The wife had to come home in second gear with no pedal clutch the other day. She doesn't want it slipping out on her again.

What a great place....cool story also. I might have to order me a T shirt. If I lived in the area it looks like the kinda place I would frequent. Nice!

Good morning Guru's.....beautiful here with a great day in store looks like. No wind which is a gift. Mowing hells half acre is first up then get ready to attend the Cattleman's Ball extravaganza and see what we end up buying.......err donating. Maybe nothing as we already donated the herbicide. Should be interesting....I see the highway patrol have a trailer set up outside the area that you can come in and get a breathalizer test to see if you are good to drive....interesting to see how much that will be used......booze will be in, ahh, good supply at this thing.

Well oiled people tend to bid more I'm thinking.

May take the motorcycle because of the crush of trafic...have not run that by Ultrawoman yet.......

Have a safe day Guru's...

Morning guys...I'm feeling the results of my PT session yesterday. Leg aches this morning. I'm icing already and it feels better already.

Not much planned for today.

Howdy! That fruit stand looks like a great place, indeed. Nothing like that around here, but I remember when I was a little kid, the grocery store had lots of fruit and produce outside in baskets - I remember it smelled great.

It looks like it's going to be a great day for DNBFS, but there is more work out back on the schedule today. And I need to spray insecticide on the lawn - I think we're getting grubs. Damn varmints!

Enjoy your day, everyone!

I'd like to have a DNBFS day/weekend, but I landed in the middle of a 40-page book layout for my old employer, the local paper here. They're putting out a 'concierge book' that will be in all the hotel rooms, and of course they wait until the last damned minute to give me EVERYTHING. I have to build the ads, do the book layout, covers, etc. And, they wanted this to the printer by the 6th...I don't see that happening. They forget I have a day job and on those days I will only work about an hour in the evening. I don't like having to kill myself to get these things done when they've had two months to be getting me stuff. Also have some cop motorcycle group logos and tshirts to design and a photo enhancement job for a friend of mine. Anybody want to come wash the vette, fix my blinker light and my headlight and clean the house while I do all this other crap?

One of our favorite things was to go to the store and set traps for unsuspecting folks.....you had to set it up just right so you could see them walk into wall of flatulance and they could not see you....we were masters at it....to bad we couldn't film it back then and the responses you could get....hahahahahhaaah.....

I guess I could start up again with my camara phone vids.......hmmmmmm....

That's sick!!

88 degrees in Reno

Humidity's up a bit - 15%

The windows & doors are open and ice cool air off the mountain is blowin' thru the house.

Absolutely perfect.

Almost time for a beer and salmon on the barbi.

That's about how it was here in Jonesboro, AR today.. I sat outside on the front porch with the laptop all day working, beer closeby. Absolutely perfect day, perfect clouds, perfect breeze, perfect temp, perfect hammock kinda day..
Finished up with work about 5:30, ran to the store, then back and got the vette cleaned up inside and out, cleaned up and headed to Trumann (next town over, where I grew up), and met an old friend at the sports bar there, he bought my dinner and drinks and I stopped for some Sunday beer on the way home and by darned he bought that too, belated bday present he sai. Ok by me
I hope I don't have to work on the book tomorrow, I plan to meet my cousin by the pool at her apartment, and relax. and, last night and tonight on the PBS station they have 60's rock and British pop, relaxing kinda night too
