Good Morning CGs!

The rain yesterday evening cooled everything off nicely and made the weather pleasant. I stopped at the chiro after work and had an adjustment. He said my neck is getting a lot better, which I agree with. I'll go back next week for another adjustment...about once a week is what I think is good for me. When I got home I had some free time (no kids) so I hit the streets and did a 3 mile run. I was happy since I haven't been running in about 2 months now. Felt good.

Gonna stop at the parts store later for a few odds and ends, other than that not much going on.

Restless night again, too much going on I think. Corn crop is winding down which is crazy for this early. We have given final irrigation instructions to several clients this week and will be doing so again today. Usually that takes place at the end of August. It's a crazy year in ag.

I am ready for it to end especially the heat. I am finding in my old age that I don't do the extremes well anymore, both hot and cold.......and the beat goes on.....it's one day at a time around here.....

Good morning.
We went about an hour north last night to the North Miami Beach/Aventura area of Miami. Met up with our neice and great neices for dinner at The Cheese Cake Factory and walked the mall. Huge mall with a packed parking lot and thousands of people. A Ferrari and a Rolls parked in front at the valet and limos pulling up dropping off it's occupants. This mall is considered upscale because they have a Nordstrom and other high end retailers inside. This is the place Michael Jackson used to shop with his kids as well as a host of other big names that come to town. Rich tourists like to pack up their bags for goodies to bring home with them. Needless to say, thank God I'm a country boy. I don't miss 6-8 lane roadways, searching for a parking space, and hoards of people. Funny, I've been to NMB many times and I've never been to that mall. Just not a mall kinda guy I guess. That was a good reality check though. There's a whole lotta money out there, just none of it's mine.

Howdy! The day started off gloomy with a good chance of rain, so I left the Vette in the garage. Naturally the sun is shining brightly now. I mentioned yesterday that a co-worker is in Manila - he said it is raining so much that water is seeping into the office building through cracks in the concrete walls. They are using little aluminum Post-It note thingys bent into an "L" to make gutters to tack onto the wall to divert incoming water along the wall into a sink. Sounds like fun, sofa king fun.

I went into a mall one time this year.....damn dangerous place.....avoiding the texters walking with their heads down was harder than running an autocross.

But I'm going to "my kinda mall" today - "Big Boys Toy Store" downtown at Hot August Nights.

Just got back from caulking the top tracks of the awnings I put up on the shed at C2 (nursery). It feels like it's a millionty nine degrees outside. Hot and humid and it's only 11:00. I have to road check the 87 911 out because my wife is driving up to visit my Mom and family for a few days. She hasn't been up there in awhile. I get to stay home and take care of the critters and things that pop up at the nursery and house. 4 days home alone. Oh me, oh my.

Evening guys....been working my arse off the last few days. School's about to start and we are rushing to get the building done. I've been working on counter tops and tonight the wife and I put on all the drawer/door pulls. Tomorrow I'm going to try and finish up the counter tops and install a cabinet and counter top that were pulled from storage somewhere so they can cut costs.

Today was our 37th wedding anniversary...nice way to celebrate, working on cabinetry.

No worry Tom. After the 30th you only celebrate every tenth year, 30th, 40th, 50th, and so on. Years 1 through 20 you have to buy stuff, After that it goes to the 25th then 30th anniversary. The only requirement is you say something like; Can you believe we've been married 37 years? Amazing! She will just look at you in amazement.
