Good Morning CGs!

Errands and chores are on task for today. Wifey is at work so I have to get kids up and ready, drop RR#1 off at school, go to hardware store, dry cleaner, HF come home and clean up, vacuum, etc. Outside it's a little cool (I like it) and kind of rainy, a good day to just do random junk and not have plans.

Party for our aunt/uncle's 40th anniversary last night was a lot of fun. We tried to get the whole family to dress up in traditional Polish highlander outfits...pretty neat.

How was everyone's weekend? Anything exciting?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Nice pants there Matt. I guess after a couple of shots of Sobieski, you don't even notice the pants.

Greetings! Another delightful Monday is upon us. The alarm clock was a most unwelcome sound this morning - I wasn't done with Sunday night yet. I'll be counting the minutes until I hit my nap chair.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Tommy, my outfit looked very similar to that, no vest since it's not winter.

Off point...I did see 4 lamborghinis driving yesterday in a row...kind of neat. Never a huge lambo fanatic like some people, their styling is out there, but I like all cars.

Rough nights sleep. Had one of those endless task deams. I pulled up a tree and the roots had other greenery to pull. No, I wasn't pulling my ........ nevermind ...... Woke up at 05:00 and needed to take some antacids. Propped up two pillows and slept till 08:00. I still feel tired. Working dreams suck. I think I'll pay the bills I was going to pay yesterday and do a little paperwork and clean off the ofice desk. Get some stuff filed away. Then I'll see what else needs to be done. Wifey is due home today. It's nice when she is away for a couple days. I appreciate her more. At least still she says something.

This is a highlander band that plays "updated" versions of classic songs that won a Polish talent show last year...my neighbor showed me this the other night.

I guess like everywhere else the Polish women are looking for a guy that likes to dance so they try and train them early. After 2 sausages and a few beers, the last thing I'd want to do is jump up and down. I was born a wallflower (or a bar weed). But if you want to get laid it's better if you can dance and have a good sense of humor.(Plus have money, a nice car and know how to schmooze)

HooRahh....Monday and it is cool and looks like it could rain...it won't but we can all dream...Had some folks come over and look at the C5 yesteday. They are clients of mine and they have an 89 triple black C4 and are wanting to move up. My car was looking great and they took it out for a drive and were impressed with the room in the 5'er and how nice the interior has held up. I'm not kidding the car looks like it has 40K on it not 90K.

What is holding them up is the fact that they live on a mile and a half of gravel and don't want to subject the car to that. I told them I would not want them to subject the car to that either....implying that I wouldn't sell it to them if that was the case.....the Mrs. got kinda pissy about that but I didn't care it's to nice a car to put on gravel. They are going to look for a garage to rent in a small down about 2 miles from their farm.

They asked me what their 89 C4 with 87K was worth and I said....and I had to be careful here not to dis their car...that I figured 5K if it was cleaned up and in good running order....it has been on gravel for 10 or 12 years and has sat in a shed for a long time. I'm thinking mice and wiring and a lot of other stuff....

Anyway it was hard for me to see my car leave with someone else in it even if I knew it was coming back. And those Corsa's sounded so good burbling out the drive....I may just keep the damn thing...

Have a great day Guru Nation.....

There will be plenty of time for retirement when I'm dead.
When I die it won't be my passing. It will be my time to retire. My career retirement means no alarm clocks, no schedule (most of the time) and the ability to work at a pace I want.

I should put my 90 and 91 up for sale and put a sign on them that says Make Offer. I wouldn't sell them though till someone was stupid enough to offer me the money I'd want. Which just so happens to be more than anybody would be willing to pay.

No, it's better to be in the band, you don't even have to know how to dance,

And you can issue "back stage passes"

It was pretty easy actually. Bitchin about it gave me the energy I needed to get it done. It did get done and it was easier than I thought it would be. When I got there, I found the tires were mounted on new rims . I left that part out.

Right now I'd be happy if I didn't have to move 80 pieces of equipment just to get access to the 67.

Morning guys...back to the grind. Working in the shop building jam extensions for the doors and windows. Just finished up and taking a quick break.

Yea, the English language can be quite perplexing at times, like Tommy said, it's a good thing nobody talks like that.

I'm thinking the 67 will be as much fun to drive as that ZR-1, and in the end you may have a car that is worth nearly as much.

Got to go.

Wifey just told me she's staying till tomorrow or the next day. It's 07:00PM and I've done everthing I'm gonna do except eat dinner and dent the couch. No energy, no motivation means I'm gonna do as little as possible. Looks like I'll give the remote a workout. Hope I can find something to watch on those 100+ channels we've got. I don't have anything I need to buy so no e-shopping. Maybe I'll read a little or look at some car mags. I could always do some prep for HCF ........ But it's only Monday. If I get riled up about something there is always PR&C. Boy ..... What Matt wouldn't give to have an open evening....

I ended up on Animal Planet. Call of the Wildman
They pulled a huge rare gator snapping turtle out of the bayou. Been to Louisiana once down to Nacadoches. Cotton country. Went looking for deer (off season) in the woods and did some target shooting.

On another note. My neighbor, Mark, works on this project and others out at Everglades National Park. He one of those in the woods/glades kind of guys. They put tracking devices on the smaller snakes to see where they go. Then they go looking for the big boys and girls for elimination.

I wish. Wifey was supposed to go to her mom's with the kids tonight. Usually around 5. I was seriously gonna rip the intake off the car. Somehow I ended up going with her to Costco and got home at 7. Then I had to put away groceries, clean up, pick some ripe tomatoes, etc. Oh well.
