Man, I'm a mess. I have a migraine headache, sore throat, stiff neck and a rash on my back. I got up ay 04:30 because I couldnt get comfortable. Had a cup of coffee. Something warm to sooth my throat. Feeling like crap gives me a better appreciation for the days I wake up with only achy joints. I'd take that any day over this crap. Guru mojo is requested for a hasty recovery.
We bought a second lawn mower yesterday. One for the house. I now have one for the nurseries and one for the house. That will make life a little easier than having to schlep the lawnmower from the nursery to the house. Picked up a 2010 Ariens, Zoom 34, that was used to maintain a local property. Looks lightly used and sounds good. Briggs and Stratton 13.5 hp, zero turn. It retailed for $2000 so out the door would have been around $2200 new. We paid $1200 for it. It was checked over and serviced at the local lawnmower shop before the sale. Blades sharpened, springs replaced, etc.. Runs good. Beats paying the new price.

Good Morning CGs!

Sorry to hear you're under the weather, Tommy. Hope you feel better soon.

Work today then a nice little stretch of days off. We are attending the Jason Aldean / Luke Bryan concert tonight with a group of friends / family. Should be a nice time. I'm looking forward to it. I don't think I've been to a concert in at least 10 years. I like music and all, but man they get expensive. I can buy the cd for $10 and listen over and over vs $60 for a concert ticket....I'm starting to sound like Tommy

Worked on the wife's car last night. She had an evap large leak problem on the Rogue. This is caused by a bad vacuum solenoid under the rear bumper. Went bad at 19,000 miles and was replaced under warranty. Went bad again around 45,000 miles but I just kept resetting the MIL. Recently it's caused a stumbling idle. New part with dealer discount around $125 out the door. MFrs! I took it off yesterday to inspect it. Veeeeeery simple system - similar to an IAC valve. It has a connector for power (solenoid) and a plunger with a spring. That's it. How can that go bad??? I guess it gets dirty and the plunger hangs up. So I cleaned it for about 20 minutes with carb cleaner and compressed air, bench tested it and it works fine. Total investment - an hour. Ran ok last night, so we'll see. Even if I have to clean it every 10,000 miles I'd rather do that than replace it. Now that I know how to get it off, it's a 3 minute job.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning guys...it was a beautiful evening and night. Cool and light breezes. Went for a bike ride and then slept with the windows open. Cool again today and I'm off to a golf tourney. Wind is blowing a little harder this morning.

I hope all have great day.

Howdy! Slept in like a pro today, damn near lapped the clock.
*rubs eyes* Looks like a nice day out there, I'll have to figure out something to do with it.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well, Tommy - get better! Nice deal on the mower - the zero-turns almost make lawn mowing fun. Almost. And good luck in your tournament, Tom!

Have a good day, yawlz!

Ya Brad! Those zero turn mowers make it a lot more bearable. Like you said. It's almost fun. I was thinking of staging a race between my wife and myself on the lawnmowers. Passed experience tells me I should forget that idea .......

My sore throat could be sign of throat cancer. My headache could be a sign of an impending heart attack or stroke or possible brain tumor. The rash on my back could be a symptom of West Nile Virus. The pain in my neck could signal the presence of fibromyalgia. Or I might just have a case of nobody knows what the hell it is. All I know is it's starting to get to me. I'm on day 4 of a progressively worsening condition. Tomorrow we are supposed to go to a poker party. If I don't go my wife will think I got this on purpose.

..

The one I had in Pa. was very close to the pic only in much better condition.

Dying out under load may just be carb adjustment.

The needle with the small spring close to the bottom of the floatbowl can be adjusted. Turn it in with a screwdriver until it lightly seats then, back it out 1 1/2 turns.

Also, when it starts to die out, give it a little choke. If it runs better, it's too lean (back out that needle a 1/4 turn and try it again.).

Damn, I'm looking at 5 Sherrif's cars across the street and a fire engine.

Neighbor & his wife are high school teachers, had some ttouble with kids from a couple blocks away.

His son opened up the mailbox this morning and a device went off. Enough to screw up the box but not the kid.

Bomb squad is on the way.

Assholes.

Since '86, we had one psychotic teenager who tried to break into a bunch of houses including mine.

In the whole Reno area, crime happens BUT not around here at all. You don't even see things on "CrimeTracker".

Bubba (yea, that's his real name) knows who the kids are so, they'll be caught.

Funny that I was sitting in liviingroom last night, saw a car on the street driving real slow. Thought about having my 9mm a bit closer. Guess it will be out for a while.

Wel, the 9mm's moving from the bedroom to the living room at night.

The bomb squad blew up the mailbox because they didn't know if the device had totally blown. I was wrong about the neighbor opening the box. The thing inside went off around 1 a.m., it was a round package of roman candles that went off inside the box.

Done deal for now.

Now I can go back to work on my frame.

Hey, these kids are of the upper I.Q.
In order to keep the mailbox lid closed and make the boom more destructive ,they taped the lid shut.....with one piece of blue masking tape.

Funny thing is that the cops told Bubba (not a redneck) that since they were going to blow up his mailbox, they would buy him a new one.
