Looks like we're in for a wet and wild few days here in South Florida. That'll keep me inside but there is no shortage of things to do. I have things that can be done in the dark, in the light, in the sunshine or in the rain. As soon as my mind clears I'll jump into action. Actually, if I wait for my mind to clear, it may take quite a bit of time.

Back before I retired I talked to a few guys that had already retired. A few of them told me thay wish they had kept working. The most obvious reason was boredom. They wanted to be busy and were faced with little or nothing for them to do. Of course, there is volunteering but that's not everybodies cup of tea. I think it takes 2 or 3 years to figure retirement out for yourself. I loathe boredom. The move to this house as well as work at the nursery keeps me in the game. I'm always busy. Somewetimes too busy but there is one thing I know. There will never be any grass growing under my feet. A rolling stone gathers no moss. I may complain from time to time but, it beats the alternative.

Howdy! Soggy and cold here, good to be indoors. The week is winding down - we're heading up north for a week on Saturday.

Seems like a pleasant enough chap:

Tommy you're not retired.....your self employed....and that gives you a lot more choices on how to fill your days....

Weather is nasty here also this morning with wind and rain and cold temps. The rain is welcome but not the wind. We can't work outside so we spent some time in the shop cleaning and organizing.....it hasn't been this clean since 1992 I'm thinking....

Good morning guys....It's cold windy and a little moisture coming down. I wouldn't call it rain, but it is moisture. We have our last football game tonight...yes Thursday night.

Kids showing up, those lovely little MSers. I'll check in later.

EEEEKKK.... you said the 'S' word.....
I'm happy it's the end of October here and still 80...
wish it would stay that way. Today is my Friday, tomorrow I'll clean up the car a little, get some errands taken care of and Saturday morning some of us from our local Vette Club are taking an over night run through some twisty, hilly, windy roads to see the 'fall colors'. Temps are supposed to drop though, that figures, was looking forward to having the top down to see it all. Of course this is Arkansas.. seasons change daily here...

Good Morning CGs,

Washed the vette and tucked it away in the garage last night. RR#2 helped me out.

Warm here today then temps dropping rapidly. Winter is around the corner.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Home from the game. Well it really wasn't much of a game. We kicked off and they moved the ball right down the field but the boys stopped them on the 28 and four plays later we scored. Kicked off and the next play we intercepted a pass and two plays later scored again. then the rout was on. Those two quickies took the wind right out of their sails. 48-0 at half and our coach was really laying off. Second half the two coaches agreed to a running clock. Still ended up 65-0 with our JV putting a couple scores on the opposition varsity.

Basketball season will begin in a couple weeks.

I agree, the garage looks pretty spiffy.

Oh, it was cool tonight but the wind went down, the clouds cleared off and was actually a very nice night for football.

Ya, thanks for the garage pic Marcus. Reminds me of an item I already have on my list. Clean and organize the garage and sheds. I already started on them in the Spring. Have to get back in and move some stuff around. I guess having a newer Vette gives you more time to clean the shop than dirty it.
