I have searched the forums and the 2 volume service manual for my 1995 Corvette and cannot find a graphic or listing of all the grease zerk locations for my Vette. Maybe I missed it, but does anyone know of a graphic picture or listing of all the locations for grease zerks on a Vette (C4)? I don't want to miss any when I grease it this spring.

Welcome aboard.

This is easy, 4 ball joints, 2 tie rods and that's it.

Thanks for the quick answers and the welcome. Andy had a heck of a time getting me in because the site kept rejecting my email address. Glad to be here and love the Vette. I am a first timer having aquired my 95 standard coupe (black on black) last November. Then had to put it away most of the winter (South Dakota). Looking forward to spring and driving it on a regular basis. I was concerned about the grease zerks because I run and maintain the Toro fairway mower at our local volunteer golf course (sand greens) and it has about 150 zerks on it and it is easy for me to miss a couple.

After one year of retirement, my wife went back to teaching kindergarten and bought it for me! Good wife. I think I'll keep her.

Thanks. I'll have to pop her an extra Killian's Irish Red (her favorite) when she gets home from teaching today! If your avatar is your car, that's a nice looking ZR1. I like the color too.

sweet looking ride, Mike!!!

The 95 is a great car. Really well put together. Lots of stuff you can do to improve and it won't really run you broke.

If the paint and interior are solid, you're golden, and they both look GREAT!

Wonderful wife you have there.

And yes, the grease job on a C4 is rather simple.

IIRC, greased fittings are not recommended, mostly cause you can't reach to grease them after the fact.

when I did my ujoints last summer, I tore them down, cleaned them and regreased with a good grease!!

How many miles on the car? If it's in that 75k~85k mile range, it's maintenance cycle time. Drive it over the summer, but consider doing brakes, ujoints and wheel bearings over the winter months. Unless you know they have been done.

Thanks Andy,
I have only had it since last November, but love it already. So much about it is unique from the other Vettes, including the clam shell hood to the cockpit interior. It has 96,000 miles but seems like a very well kept solid car.
The outside paint job is pretty decent and the interior isn't too bad either. A few little cosmetic problems that I love to work on anyway, like the broken console cover latch that I replaced, and the weird electronic device that I removed from under the dash. See my post at the C4Registry:
http://www.c4vetteregistry.com/vrforu ... t-item_message440090.html

Never did figure out what it was. The car came with a G-Force Performance Chip but after reading the thread at
http://www.thevettebarn.com/forums/of ... ance-chip.html#post915649
I removed the chip. It now sits on my workbench in a plastic bag.

I have replaced the outside window wipes on both doors as they were all cracked and hard. Also replaced both front and rear emblems at my wife's insistence. She thought it was kind of like jewelry and the car would look better with new.

I replaced the tail lights with MAM's LED versions. Simple screwdriver install and I really get a lot of compliments on them.

Looking forward to this summer both driving it and tinkering with it, so I will be monitoring these forums for new ideas to help me along.

Welcome, I had a black in/out 95 coupe. It was not stock and a blast to drive. While I miss it the replacement for it is my son's 04 vert, also not stock. I did so much work on the C4 I knew that one well, not so much the C5.

Do you think he'll use silicone or lithium grease? Whichever, I don't want to see his zerk.

That Killian's Red is pretty good, hope your lady liked it .

Thanks for the car compliment, actually mine is an '89 with the full GC4 limited edition Greenwood . This was the limited edition serialized body kit that Greenwood came out with for the C4. It's fairly complete and included a new front spoiler w/ lights, windshield and wheelwell fairings, side rockers and lower door caps, hood louvers, rear quarters w/ tunnel and strakes and the rear wing, etc., etc.

I haven't put on the mirrors (fairly expensive however they claim to reduce turbulence along the side window) or the high rise hood which I may add later. Most of the parts have my car's VIN number glassed on to them for registration and coordination with the limited edition Greenwood serial numbers assigned to each part.

Anyway Welcome aboard, I know you'll have a great time here. This is an incredibly great site

Get good axle grease... one of the names, Amsoil, Mobil, Valvoline ... good high temp high pressure grease.
